We live in a rural area of the flight plan of migratory birds. Local farmers stock fields for these birds. Large skeins of geese fill the sky above us. Geese frequently flying so low we thrill to the beating sound of their wings.
When I walk at the park, the geese often fly very close overhead. The river is like a goose airport; they all gather there in the morning and take off in groups, making lots of noise before they take off, for all the world like an airplane gearing up.
What are they? Cormorants?
Geese.
Thanks
Kind of a lumpy V
Hey, they’re just birds!
Most impressive! Well captured
I was in a parking lot, fumbling with my phone trying to get the shot before they got too far away. They were quite high in the air as you can see.
You did well! And the pattern is very evident, Janet
That’s a big flock!
That’s what caught my eye! It’s an enormous one.
The face of a swimming shark!
😁. It’s fun to read what everyone sees. Thanks, Scott.

I see a rabbit’s head!
A high-flying rabbit!!
Yes! The birds are like clouds, making shapes we imagine we recognize.
