Thanks, Sue. I didn’t even realize the top of this milkweed plant was there under that snow. Got some more photos of it today as it continues to unravel so beautifully. 🙂
We used to see these milkpod seeds floating and growing all over my rural area. Now, I haven’t seen one in years. Neither has my Mom. I keep wondering if something has happened as I am certain they have a purpose.
Monarch butterflies are their purpose and beauty. We have lots around here and they’re really quite persistent. These appeared in our yard and keep trying to spread. I leave some, but I don’t want them to take over everything.
Love the detail!
And there’s a lot of detail. 😉
👍
cool texture
Milkweed is all about texture.
Yes
What is that? Interesting photo.
It’s an open milkweed pod that I just spotted by our front steps a few days ago.

Yup! 🤭🥰
Great patterns and texture, Janet!

Mom mentioned she hadn’t see a Monarch in years, either. Neither have I, come to think of it.
Hmm, I might have to change my comment’s answer on your next post. (As usual, I’m working backwards)
I do that, too. It can get a bit confusing, can’t it? But I appreciate you dropping by. ❤
