Day 3 in (mostly) photos

We left Albuquerque on a cloudy, chilly morning but with a sky filled with clouds of all sorts.

How to show motion in a photo: take a shot out the side window while doing 80 mph. Do it very carefully and delete all unusable photos.

Next we ran into snow. It wasn’t accumulating, but there was enough that it was almost like a light fog.

Nothing like a good train shot. Couldn’t even begin to have gotten the entire train in (especially from the van window.)

More snow when we got to Flagstaff and started south towards Phoenix. Then clouds only, some rain, more clouds and finally, sunshine.

Our new normal

Phoenix traffic, despite all the people staying at home, is terrible. A lot like Chicago in fact. But eventually we made it to our new house (which has yet to become a home, but is off to a good start. 🙂 We unloaded the car and van, took a short walk, did some grocery shopping, had a more or less proper dinner, inflated and made the inflatable beds, which will see us through the two night before all our things arrive on Sunday morning and will then be put away for use if we have lots of guests. I think we’ll both sleep well tonight! We’ve come a long way, in all ways, since Wednesday morning.

    • Thanks very much, Lisa. Although I’ve visited my parents here regularly for many years, it’s quite different to live here as opposed to the Midwest where I’ve lived most of my life.
