A few days ago after running some necessary errands, we decided to drive a bit further to Queen Creek Olive Mill, a place I’d visited once some years earlier. They were open and encouraging social distancing, but there weren’t many people so we took our time browsing.
Besides the olives, they sell a plethora of olive products as well as products from local producers who share their values. They also sell some meals for two to take home and, as you can see, pizza. Wouldn’t you love to have an oven like this one in your backyard? 🙂 These doors are definitely in good taste!

Dear Janet,
I never met an olive I didn’t like. Looks like my kind of place. Best wishes on your settling in.
Shalom,
Rochelle
And they have so much more than just olives. 😉. We’re getting settled in and I’m making daily progress on unpacking. Thank goodness for a three-car garage to hold all those boxes as the project continues!!
Those are beautiful doors, Janet. One with pepperoni to go, please.
On its way, Dan.
no matter how much you try to bake a pizza at home, they can never taste as good as coming out of a pizza oven
A pizza stone is supposed to help but I’ve never gotten that into it. 😊
Bravo! We’ve been experimenting with homemade pizzas lately but nothing beats an old-style thin-crust made in a traditional pizza oven.
Didn’t get to try the pizzas but the olives, the homemade pasta, and honey were all excellent. I’ll be there regularly.
I think that might be the prettiest pizza oven I’ve seen. Mushroom and black olive for me, please!
Mmm, that sounds good. I like pizzas with lots of different toppings, so long as one of them is anchovies. 🙂
Clever of you to find doors like these. Love them.
Just good old-fashioned luck, Ally, and luck in finding all the goodies that were there besides. 🙂 Happy you loved them.
Delicious find, Janet! In better days the aroma of pizza would probably draw a crowd! Stay healthy and safe!
Wow, what a beauty! Love olives, especially the Greek Kalamate olives:)
When my sister-in-law lived in Provence, at the markets there were stands that had the most amazing array of olives. I don’t think I ever had one I didn’t like.
Oh, am getting hungry for them now!
Me, too.
I love LOVE to have that stove!
It’s enormous, but what fun you could have doing the baking for the entire neighborhood. 🙂 Everyone would love you!
Handsome oven and doors.
I thought they were great, too.
Missing our favorite pizza dive about now. One of the first places I’ll be headed when this is over!
Can you get the pizza to go? I know it’s not the same as being there, but the pizza would be.
If it were not over an hour away I definitely would. My personal fear is a fender bender where I’d have to go to a hospital and be exposed to the virus or even worse, the hubby. Our county is not having as many sick people so far. Praying it stays that way. Thanks for being so thoughtful!
That’s a bit too far. Glad your county’s doing well. Pray it stays that way and the national/international peak is soon!
