On this morning, the sun seemed to take a bite out of the top of the house across the street behind us. Let’s get moving before it gets up too high.

The first thing we see in the yard of the family next door.

Along the side of the canal are these bright beauties that I think might be lavender cotton.

Arizona waterfalls. ๐ I’m looking forward to getting into the mountains once things ease up.

Our landlady planted this before we moved in, an oleander, I think. Oleanders are beautiful but toxic, so just look from a distance.

I’m pretty sure it’s time for breakfast. I can offer homemade granola with yogurt, dried blueberries, organic honey, and more. I’d also be happy to make a pot of tea if you’re interested. Happy Monday!
for Jo’s Monday Walk
I would love to join you for tea and breakfast!! Have a wonderful day!
I’m setting a place for you right now, Aletta. Have a great day there as well.
Oh great, thank you Janet
Happy Monday, indeed!
๐
I’ll be right over, Janet!
I’ve got a place at the table all ready, A-C.
You have lovely views!
Lots of lovely plant views; the vistas, not so much. But at least I can get out and walk and one of these days I’ll be able to get out and explore more.
That’s what I meant the flowers, and that view of the mountains. Is that the Sonora Mts? I think that’s a range that runs through AZ?
I’m looking forward to you exploring more too.
I’m not sure about that group. The San Tan Mountains are in the other direction and somewhere to the north are the White Mountains, but I have to take a look at a map to figure out which ranges are where. I can see quite a few from here, but the San Tans are closest.
The White mountains run all the way up here or just over the CA border heading south. We may share a mountain range now. ๐
Sisterhood!
I know of, but have never seen [to my knowledge], an oleander. It’s pretty and delicate.
I hadn’t seen them either. They can be like bushes or like trees and I’ve also seen some near us that have yellow flowers.
I was running a bit late this morning, and only had time for a slice of toast. Made up for it since as it was a wet afternoon and I finally got round to watching some clips from Phantom of the Opera I’ve been promising myself for a long time. With homemade apple crumble ๐ ๐ Many thanks for the share. Have a good week!
You enjoy your week, too, Jo. I’ve had a profitable morning (walked then had breakfast, made simple syrup for lemonade, made iced tea for my husband, got the ingredients for bread in the bread machine, heated up some crystallized honey, did a bit of mopping) and it’s only a bit after 10 am. Just have to keep that up, right? But it’s time for a tea break and then back at it.
That’s what early starts do. I’m always up early and don’t breakfast for an hour or two but would never go out walking on an empty stomach…. Well, maybe once or twice ๐
I always walk first just because I feel the need to get out early. That makes me always ready for breakfast when I get back. ๐
Beautiful photos ๐๐
Thanks and thanks for walking along on this lovely morning.

My pleasure, followed your lovely blog ๐
Thanks! Love to have you.
Those yellow(orange?) puffs are really pretty. I like the shot of the canal gates.
The Arizona waterfalls? ๐ The puffs are really quite pretty and welcome because they bloom along the canal path where there isn’t much growth. My husband did see a rattlesnake on one of his early bike rides, though. ๐ฆ
Yikes – not liking that last discovery
Me either! I’ve kept an eye out since but thankfully can report no sightings!
lovely walk, Janet and oh, your breakfast sounds irresistible! ๐
It’s what I have most mornings. ๐ Glad you enjoyed the walk as well.
I am impressed that you had time to document your walk, Janet! Love the yellow ball plant. Fantastic.
I’ve been documenting my walks for some years now, although the ones right now might not have nearly as much variety. Having a phone camera makes it quite simple. Those little yellow plants really are pretty, aren’t they?
I wouldn’t mind them in my garden.
Yes, it does look like the sun has taken a bite out of that house wall. ๐ Oleanders were declared a noxious weed in South Africa. Pity, because theyโre so pretty.
It was on of the moments that made me grab my phone as soon as I saw it. Good thing, too. It didn’t last long.
Looks and sounds good to me. ๐
๐ Setting a place now.
That looks like a lovely stroll, Janet. You must be enjoying exploring the new neighbourhood.
I am, although I’m looking forward to getting a bit further afield. ๐
Wonderful walk with nice views.
Thanks for coming along. ๐

Your new world is very lovely!
It is. Quite different from where I’ve lived my entire life, but lovely.
[…] Monday walk…Yes, indeed, I’m walkin’ […]
