Every time I walk by this poor ball, I think maybe its situation is really a metaphor for the times. So I present it to you for some fun on Friday and I hope your weekend is a good one. Because all kidding aside, if you’re healthy and have a job, anything else is a first world problem!
(Even though the video looks sideways, at least when I see it, it will play correctly when you click on it.)
I can easily follow you, really good reflection.
π I thought this might strike a cord with quite a few people.
I’ve got that feeling too! π¦
π
I can’t imagine a more appropriate snapshot of life right now, but I’m healthy and have heat, electricity, and food in the pantry. Happy Friday, Janet.
I’m with you, Judy. Yesterday I posted on FB that I’d been to Costco and still couldn’t find any yeast. Within about 1 minute, an online friend, whom I actually met in person once, has messaged me offering to send me yeast, as they’d gotten a 2-pound bag at the Amish store recently. It’s already in the mail and she won’t take anything for it, just sent me enough to share. Pretty good stuff!
we feel like this ball (without having one)… and we hope monday can bring good news (if possible)
I understand France is starting to gradually open up, although where my s-i-l lives is evidently a hot spot, as they’re lagging behind a bit. But to be able to go out without papers and without distance restrictions will be wonderful!
Yep, that feels like me. Nothing serious to complain about…and it’s the sensible thing to do…but it’s all so frustrating. Stay healthy, Janet.
I understand, Sharon. Glad you’re well and hopefully you’ll stay that way and be out at least a bit soon. π
π You’re right, dear Janet!
Stay HAPPY and healthy!
Claudia xo
And you, too, Claudia. β€
Well Said!
Thanks! Just stay well.
janet
Yep, that ball is all of us. And ain’t it something? π€
That it is, Ally. Just stay healthy and this too will pass.
Good metaphor, Janet! Stay healthy and safe!
And you also. π
there is so much to be grateful for even in these trying times. stay well, too. thanks! π
There’s almost always lots to be thankful for, isn’t there? We just have to remember to look for those things rather than the bad.
exactly… just banging around the same old space!
Interesting post, Janet!
I’ve seen that every day for some time and finally gave in to taking the shot. It just fits so neatly.
It really does!
Dear Janet,
A very apt video for our times. Both of us send you love and hope we’ll all beheading downstream once more real soon.
Sincerely,
D + V
I hope so as well, Dan, and sending our own back to you both.
janet & you-know-who
A very good metaphor at that, Janet.
Thanks, Dan. Other than walking, my “getting out” is shopping which is much less fun than it used to be. I went to Costco and Trader Joe’s yesterday for us and then to two grocery stores today for my mom and dad, then to a sewing machine store (to pick up her machine) and yet another grocery store with my mom. Enough shopping for me for some time! But think of all the money we’re saving when it’s only groceries. I did buy a few summer shirts online (on sale, of course) but other than that, it’s been mostly food.
Shopping is pretty much all I’m doing as well. I walk the dog most days, but I go to Target, two grocery stores and a dairy farm. Of course, with me buying groceries, I’m not sure we’re saving that much π
Ha, that would be the situation if my husband were either buying or coming with me. π
Just floating… Swimming in place… Even though it’s trash bobbing about in the water, there’s still something soothing about the sound and rhythm of it all.
The sound of water can be welcome almost any time. π Have a rewarding weekend.
I couldn’t agree more with you on this, Janet π
π. I hope you and your family are doing well, Hammad.
Enjoying a great time together we are, Janet π
I’m very happy to read that.
