Oh how wonderful this photo is 😀

  5. Wow. I don’t even know what to say. You’ve captured the true essence of wonder, the actual feeling of hope, in an image. Looking at this photo is genuinely like a soothing balm straight to the brain. I feel better already.

  6. I can almost feel the warmth of that golden light! Love the rays and backlit grass.

    • Plenty of golden light here, Deborah. 🙂 Yesterday, the early morning when I walked was cloudy and absolutely lovely, as I didn’t have to look into the sun or catch its hard reflection off the water in the canal the entire time. Sun came out after I got back and that was fine. 🙂

      • That sounds lovely! We’ve got high winds so I’ve been indoors since yesterday.

      • 😦 I went out rather early, put on the sprinkler, cleaned up the yard a bit, then dug up weeds in one of the two small sections in the back that are grass (here when we got here.) Much easier to do with the soil, such as it is, is damp!! Have to do the other section in a day or two. It’s cooling off more at night right now, which is lovely.

      • I’ve got weeding to do out front in a strip near the sidewalk. Overnight they sprang up and within a day they grew 3 times in size! Or so it seems. 😀

Cool Desert evenings… so welcome after a hot day!

      • Weeds always grow better and faster than anything you want to grow there. I don’t want to spray any poisons if at all possible, so I dig. I could try spraying vinegar on just the weeds. I understand that will kill them We just got back from Lowe’s where I got some herbs, tomato plants, and most exciting of all, an artichoke plant!!! If we get an artichoke or two, I will be so thrilled. Now that I think about it, it’s a thistle, so it should grow great. 🙂

      • I love thistle too. I use boiling water on the tough weeds like Dandelions that works!

      • I don’t know what some of these are, but they are tough! I may give boiling water a try as well. For now, I’ll water and weed, as the grass needs water, at least enough to keep it alive.

    so lovely. shimmering, golden light!

  8. That is one gorgeous photo in so many ways. Frame? Wall hanging? Card? It needs to be enjoyed.

    • Thanks so much, Judy. I have a number of photos that I would like to have made as cards. I’ve thought about selling cards, but I don’t know how many people send real mail anymore. I’ve decided to send more and have it be sort of a mission to bring joy to people.

This is such a lovely, calming shot Janet.

    • Thanks, Su. 🙂 Just finished my tea time post and have it set to publish tomorrow morning. Even though it will be Wednesday here, I know it will be Thursday there, so I’ll be right on time. I’ll link before I go to bed it your post is up by then. If not, I’ll see you in the morning.
