What a gorgeous expression on that face. We don’t have squirrels in OZ, they always seem such cheeky creatures especially when dealing with bird feeders, it seems.
No squirrels? I always feel as though they’re everywhere, but then again, we don’t have koalas and such. Cheeky is certainly the word that springs to mind with squirrels and they love the challenge of a bird feeder, which they consider a squirrel feeder. ๐
I think the closest thing in OZ would be Squirrel Gliders but in our areas it would have to be possums which look quite different from yours. Neither are as urbanized as your Squirrels.
One family of squirrels per tree here in Madison it seems. Very cheeky, one little guys sits on our wooden fence and chews the top edges of the planks, only when c I am looking out the kitchen window! Great photo.
Lots of grey and brown squirrels(some almost black), and some red ones.
In Toronto we have some famous white squirrels. We have named a street after them.
Yesterday we went for a drive and passed an area where all the streets had citrus names, such as Lemon Drive. I’d like to live on that one or if not, one near out house in Illinois, Bordeaux Street/Drive. ๐
Probably not because the state is in terrible financial straits and it’s unlikely to get better. It’s also a high tax state, but certainly beautiful. While my parents are still around, we’ll be here.

Madison has a one-family-per-tree law? ๐ They do love to chew on things, especially those they’re not supposed to chew.

He/she is gorgeous! I adore squirrels!
What color are the ones you have there? I seem to recall grey squirrels in Canada, but perhaps I’m mis-remembering.

Interesting! Would you ever move back to Illinois?

I was just thinking of the street names, not the actual streets. ๐
I should actually live on Book Road, which wasn’t far from our house in Illinois. ๐
[…] Canโt wait. Got lots to do! โ This, that and the other thing […]
