Most of the saguaro flowers had lots of bees swarming on them. I happened to get these two with only that one bee. π Just imagine what it looks like when all the saguaros are topped with flowers. I missed the big bloom, but still was impressed with what I saw. Next year when it’s time, I’ll drive up to where they grow everywhere and get photos.
What an unusual coloured bee
I think itβs a carpenter bee and theyβre dark.
Very substantial flowers.
Yes, they are.
Never seen a bee that colour!
I believe itβs a carpenter bee. Very different from honey bees.
Oh, OK!
Great photos! Love seeing happy bees.
I agree, Dan. π
π Lovely! Great shot!
Take care and have a HAPPY day!

Interesting flower growing on the cactus … Will it open up more?
Have a peacefully calm weekend ππ
Iβm not sure. Most of them are about done blooming now.
If they do open or if others do, please take a pic. I’m surious about their colors.
Have peaceful weekend … π
Thanks, Claudia. You as well.
That cactus flower is unique! I love seeing the bees on flowers.

That sounds promising! π
Beautiful!
Thank you, Aletta.
Always happy to see bees Janet. Wishing you a good weekend.
Thanks, Su, and the same to you.
Lovely captures, Janet π
Thanks. Iβm happy you liked them.
The bee looks quite scary. π³
The wood/carpenter bees don’t seem interested in bothering people at all which, considering their size, is a very good thing!!

Great flowers. Cacti produce some beauties!
That they do!
Great photos!
Thanks, Robert. π
