What an unusual coloured bee
I think it’s a carpenter bee and they’re dark.
Very substantial flowers.
Yes, they are.
Never seen a bee that colour!
I believe it’s a carpenter bee. Very different from honey bees.

That cactus flower is unique! I love seeing the bees on flowers.
Most of the saguaro flowers had lots of bees swarming on them. I happened to get these two with only that one bee. 🙂 Just imagine what it looks like when all the saguaros are topped with flowers. I missed the big bloom, but still was impressed with what I saw. Next year when it’s time, I’ll drive up to where they grow everywhere and get photos.
