I think it was from the English lavender plant that has since croaked. π¦ This isn’t a good time to try to grow things: too hot and too dry. I have one French lavender in a pot that still seems to be making it, but I’m quite disappointed that the others died.
This is one lavender flower from a plant I bought at Lowe’s. Unfortunately, I haven’ had good luck with growing things right now. It’s just too hot. I’ll try again in fall.
I have a cactus that I grew from a tiny plant. It’s about 24 years old. It’s tall and skinny with a few leaves at the top. After all this time, it’s sprouting a new branch. YIKES … that took a long time. ~~~ : – )
π I’d love to have about 100 of these in my yard but alas, just a few blooms. I thought because they thrive in Provence they’d do well here, but I must be missing something.
I could do that if they don’t mind rather limited topics and all in the present tense. But the English lavender died and I did speak English to it. π
Thanks. Glad you liked it. I love lavender and wish I could get a number of plants to grow. I had some in Illinois, but a very different climate and soil.
I think the French type might work if I could get the soil, such as it is, ready to plant and then wait until it cools down to try. I’ll have to look into it a bit more, but late spring and summer isn’t really the time to plant anything except perhaps cactus from what I’ve read since we arrived.
Beautiful. Looks like a couple of purple rabbit ears. Ha

Love the lighting on this.
Thanks, Madison. Happy Monday.
Beautiful! Is it lavender?
It is. π

Thanks, Lola, and I hope your week’s off to a good start.

Cacti are slower growers for the most part, although the flowers can come and go quite quickly.
Wow! This is such a fancy-looking flower, Janet. I agree with Peggyjoan about the rabbit ears. π

Maybe they just need you to speak French to them. π

Might there be a variety more suited to the local climate?
