Funny capture – they keep distance, but both still keep an eye on the neighbor. 😀
🙂 It was fun to see them like this. I wonder whether they really are thinking anything about the other bird or not. Maybe who’s going to get the fish once they get back to fishing.
Beautiful – lovely to see them all aware of each other. And I like the strong shadow of the heron.

They’re giving it a lot more than six feet, although no masks, so they’d better keep observing the distance. 😉

The two in the right make me think of Heckle & Jeckle.
🙂 I think that the dark one is the shadow of the heron because I only saw two birds (except for the ducks in the front) and when I zoom in much closer, it still appears to be a shadow. But I know what you mean.
Looks like that might be a great fishing spot!
It definitely is and lots of insects as well for those who prefer them. 🙂 Not a lot of water around other places in this area, so it’s prime real estate for these types of birds.
And for us who like to watch them!
