Even though I arrived on the Bighorns in mid-July, there was still a plethora of wonderful wildflowers.

It’s gorgeous! It looks like you hit it at peak wildflower time!
It was beautiful and peak at least for these types of flowers. There are others earlier in the year, such as lupine, which are also spectacular. It was dry, so I was thrilled to see this many wildflowers.

Dan, I was very happy that there were still so many. Often as the summer goes by, there are less flowers due to higher temperatures and less rain.
I like that there is some distance between them. It’s a very pretty scene.

I wouldn’t have minded a bit cooler and some much-needed rain, but other than that, it was lovely and the flowers were a delight every day.

I don’t actively miss it, but in some ways I miss it all the time, if that makes sense. 🙂 I do love it there.

We moved from Illinois, not Wyoming, and the cabin is only really used in the summer. I miss some things about Illinois, especially the friends we had there, but for this season of our lives, this is where we’re supposed to be and I’m embracing it.
