This is why I also carry my camera with telephoto when I walk at the Preserve. You never know when the right shot will come along. If I want to do a serious exercise walk, I walk along the canal where there isn’t much of anything to distract me. 🙂

I though of you today while scrolling through photos and finding a couple shots of a scarlet tanager I managed to capture one day at the Illinois park. The sad part was that I just missed an indigo bunting. I have a blurred shot of the beautiful blue but didn’t have time to correct the focus for a good shot.
