for One Word Sunday: early
Ah… the early bird! Nice photo, Janet.
Thanks very much, Tom, and happy Sunday.
🙂 Pleasure… and you too!
The early bird is a bright one too!
I love the bright yellow of goldfinches. I always loved seeing the first ones in the spring in Illinois.
Beautiful early bird 🙂
Thanks! They are beauties.

Not only a handsome little dude here but also a great frame for him. Good one. 🙂
Thanks, Judy, and happy Sunday. The bright yellow was always a welcome sign of spring.
At first, I didn’t realize that was a small branch behind him. I though he was shaking his tail feathers. Now that song is stuck in my head. I can’t blame you. That’s a great capture of an early bird.
🙂 Thanks, Dan. I love the way goldfinches fly, in sweeping arcs but usually at a high rater of speed. Happy Sunday.
A little beauty.
That he is.
The early bird….
It’s funny, Aletta, but I wasn’t thinking of “…gets the worm” but early in spring. A robin with a worm would have worked, too.
Ha, that is what I thought… gets the worm!
Gets the worm! Perfect picture.
🙂 I’d been thinking of “early” as in spring but luckily hit both.
😃 yay!
He’s a beauty, especially against that blue sky.
He’s a beauty, that’s for sure, Deborah.
A lovely Goldfinch.
They’re so bright and cheerful, at least the males are.
Yes, female Goldfinches are drab.
Beautiful bird and great composition.
Thanks, Rebecca. Enjoy the day.
Aww, so sweet! Lovely shot!
Goldfinches are beautiful, the males of course having all the color and glamor looks. 🙂
Lovely shot Janet 😀
Thanks, Su. These guys are very photogenic if you can catch them! 🙂
🙂
Adorable, Janet! Beautiful capture.
They’re really gorgeous, aren’t they, Patti? Happy Monday.
