For One Word Sunday: creepy

  1. Well that really is pretty creepy πŸ˜‰ – Well done! Liebe Grüße

  2. Dan Antion says:

Yikes! You certainly brought creepy to the page.

    • I knew this shot would be good for something someday. These are in the back room of a great vintage store in Billing, Montana and on my way to the restroom, I saw them and had to take a photo. You never know! πŸ™‚

      • Dan Antion says:

I was wondering how you came to get that. I was hoping it wasn’t taken in your attic.

      • πŸ™‚ No attic here for them to be in, Dan. Went from attic and basement in our Ohio house, to basement only in Illinois, to all-on-one-floor in Arizona. Anything creepy would have to be hidden inside because in the summer it would bake to death in the garage!

  3. aFrankAngle says:

I first laughed then the creepy hit me!

  4. Jackie says:

    Mannequins are definitely creepy!

  5. lolaWi says:

oh that is really creepy! πŸ™‚

  6. Debbie Smyth says:

It does have a creepy edge to it, Janet. Helped by the editing, as you say, but that’s what photography is about – the photographer’s viewpoint. In fact, I did a similar edit to mine. So great minds …. πŸ™‚

  7. Ally Bean says:

Love it… in a creepy kind of way.

  8. That is really creepy!!

  9. klara b says:

right out of some SF πŸ™‚

    • πŸ™‚ Cue the creepy music and hide under the bed! If you think about it, music makes scary things much scarier and many bits of film wouldn’t be that frightening without the music to ratchet up the tension.

  10. Very creepy indeed, Janet. Looks like something from a horror movie. 😱

  11. JT Twissel says:

    Definitely creepy…

  12. There’s a Twilight Zone or other show in the same genre that tells the story of store mannequins that get to be human one day a year or something and the story is about Marsha who doesn’t want to go back to being a mannequin. I thought of that straight-away when I saw your image.

  13. […] Janet at This, That and the Other Thing […]

  14. Resa says:

I’ve worked with clothing my entire career, so this is not really creepy to me. It just looks like display equipment. It’s the same with the headless Judy that I make my Art Gowns on. Although, I understand why this would be creepy to others.
    Great shot, Janet!

What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, that or the other thing.
