The generally preferred method of taking macro photos is with a macro lens, unless you’re carrying a camera with a telephoto lens for bird photos. In that case, the preferred method of taking macros is from about 6′. 🙂 That’s what happens at the Preserve unless I’m taking my photos with my phone. In this case, think telephoto at a distance. Welcome to Monday.

These are beautiful!!
Thanks, Aletta. 🙂
🙂 So pretty, dear Janet!
Have a very HAPPY week and stay healthy!
Claudia xo 🙂
Thanks, Claudia. You too.
Beautiful. I often take Macro shots from 6 to 8 feet away.
🙂 You gotta do what you gotta do, right?
Great photos
Thanks very much, Sheree. 🙂

You’re welcome, Janet
Well that worked out very well in the end, then. Nice shots.
Thanks. Doesn’t really matter if they turn out well, right? 🙂
What a stunning way to start my day. Simply wow. Leave it … I would love to collaborate with you on a walk (My words, your photos).
That would be fun. We’ll have to talk about it and then do a post. 🙂
For starters, here’s a topics list – but what this doesn’t tell is the order. Will try to establish email contact within several days. 🙂
My email should be with my gravatar. I didn’t see at topic list, BTW.
No kidding because I didn’t leave the link …. (as I slap myself) … https://beachwalkreflections.wordpress.com/topics-list/
However you went about it, the results are perfect, Janet!
Thanks!
However you did it, it worked! They are all beautiful, Janet, but the light in that last one is stunning.
LOVE that last image!
Thanks so much, Sue. Sometimes the light’s just right.
I absolutely agree – a gift when it is
[…] Macro Monday…distance macros — This, that and the other thing […]
I love the bee! These are all great close ups, Janet!
Thanks, Deborah. Spent several hours at the Preserve this morning and although I didn’t see any “life birds”, I did see the spoonbill again and had a lovely time.
It sounds lovely!
It was. This morning I was there again, but this time in long sleeves and a jacket. Loved it!! We’ll be back in the 80’s soon for the highs, but for now, I’m enjoying our mini cool spell.
Enticing captures.
Thanks, Sally and happy Monday to you.
Great pictures!
Thanks! I’m happy you like them.

🤗
So stunning. This is a good reminder that I should really stop to take a closer look when I’m out in the world. There’s so much beauty right in front of us, hidden in plain sight.
At the Preserve, it’s all about the birds for most people and I can get caught up in that, too. But I like finding little things that people tend to overlook and trying to highlight their beauty.
All three are beautiful, but the bee is spectacular!
Thanks, Judy. ❤️. I hope your Monday’s gone well.
Lovely! The bee is really clinging on.
They love these flowers and just go crazy inside, all the while clinging tightly.

Fabulous, Janet!
Thank you kindly, my friend.
