Wherever the neighborhood where we currently live, my neighborhood of heart is here in the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming. I was fortunate enough to visit for three weeks this summer.

Great neighborhood, I can see why you adopted it! Wonderful animal shots.
Thanks. I’ve gone there almost every summer since college. Blessed!
Thanks for sharing the beauty.
Always my pleasure, Rebecca.
Oh my Janet – really glorious and so very different from our landscapes and critters here in the low country of the south. Loved them all – but especially the four-legged neighbors!
Thanks, Tina. She’s mine/ours, one of four. Not the horse of my heart in the gravatar with me, but a pretty good substitute. ❤
PS, your link is actually correct and goes to Ann-Christine’s blog.
I corrected it, but wasn’t sure if had already pingbacked on your blog. Thanks.
Fabulous neighbourhood and neighbours
I’m kinda partial to it and them. 🙂 Thanks, Sheree.
😎
Wonderful neighbourhood, and I like the look of the neighbours too.
Can’t beat it as far as I’m concerned, although often you can’t get up there in winter without a snowmobile and the horses are down the mountain then.
Oh wow…such a beautiful neighbourhood.
Thanks, Teresa. I love it. 🙂
How wonderful! Glorious scenery
Makes me smile just to think about it. Once my husband retires, we plan to spend half the summer there. Have to share time with my brother and his family who own the cabin and horses with us.
That sounds like a plan!
As Mr. Rogers would say, ‘it’s a neighborly day in this beauty wood.’ Life doesn’t get much better than these shots.
I agree, Judy. 🙂 We met Mr. Rogers once at a wedding and he was as nice in person as on TV.
I can see why you’d call that home. Your pictures from your trips there always make me smile.
Thanks, Dan. ❤
Such a beautiful neighbourhood Janet!
I think so, too, Aletta. 🙂
Love the palomino! We delayed our Wyoming trip this year. Missing its many wonders.
I hope you’ll be able to go again this next summer. Wyoming is certainly full of a variety of wonders as is much of the West.
I can see why your heart is in Wyoming. My Arkansas hearts always wants to be in the Pacific Northwest. I call that area – God’s Country. Nothing beats the Rockies.
The Pacific Northwest is quite nice as well, Peggy.
Ah, lovely neighbours and neighborhood as well! Your horse? I can clearly see why you love this area of the world!
A beautiful neighbourhood Janet and such lovely neighbours too! 💚
Thanks. I’m glad you agree. 🙂
What a beautiful place! Your shots are fab. Love the furry on the antlers!
Fur on the antlers is dependent on the time of year but the beauty is always there in one form or another. 🙂
Nice neighborhood!! Loojs like a nice visit😊
Pat
It’s a visit I look forward to every summer. 🙂
Wonderful images, Janet. The deer is magnificent! I can see why you love it there. I hope you can go “home” again soon.
Not until summer. Often there’s too much snow to get there in the winter, the water’s turned off, the cabin’s winterized and closed. But I certainly hope and pray there will be a trip next summer.
That’s a wonderful neighborhood! I like the neighbors a lot!! 😀
We have some pretty good neighbors there even if many are a bit shy. You can’t beat the views. 😊
No you can’t!
Ahhh. Sooo beautiful. Excellent.
Thanks very much, John. It’s a truly wonderful area.

Beautiful photos, Janet. I can see why neighborhood of heart is in the Big Horn Mountains. Love the horse capture especially.
I’m glad you enjoyed it, Amy. For me a special part is having horses there and being able to ride through so many beautiful places.
Such a beautiful place with interesting characters!
Thanks. I’m happy you enjoyed the visit.
