I believe it’s a young green heron, but I’m not a pro at identifying them yet.
Yes, we are all flying by the seat of our pants in this troubled world. Would be great to be able to fly like the birds of this world. Beautiful photos.

Wow – gorgeous selections of these In flight birds
The wing span and free feeling is different in each – I can imagine you capturing these
I’ll be back at the Preserve tomorrow morning, Yvette, ready to capture more shots. 🙂 As the year unfolds, it’s interesting to see what birds will stay and which will be gone until next year or next season.
How fun – and your photos can help you keep record in case you forget – or do you write any of it down?
I haven’t as of yet, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea. I know some of the birders (or maybe all) record all their sightings. For me it’s more a matter of knowing what bird I saw. 🙂

I started keeping a log of books I have read and shows watched – like documentaries or movies or a series
Partly to keep track of time and a short log sure helps
But also to remember and to note if a quote or scene really stood out –
I keep a list of all (or almost all) of the books I read, although I got rid of many of those from earlier years when we moved.
