for One Word Sunday: seasonal

  1. Debbie Smyth says:

What beautiful seasonal shots, Janet. I adore the first one, for its boldness. And the rocky one has a very calm feeling to it, a touch of zen.

    • The top one is from the Preserve and one of the few seasonal changes I’ve noticed here. Many plants seem to be recovering from the summer heat and getting ready to bloom again. The second is from the Japanese gardens in Descanso Gardens so yes, very zen.

  2. Athira says:

    None noticed the beauty

  3. bushboy says:

    Love these janet 🙂

  4. Hammad Rais says:

Amazing captures, Janet. I especially like the the second one more 🙂

  5. Definitely seasonal … love the stones! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  6. Dan Antion says:

Very nice. I love the contrast with the rocks. The rocks are in water…correct? It’s hard to tell.

  7. Jackie says:

  8. I like the first branch-it reminds me of a string of butterflies all lined up. 😀

  9. That time of the year again!

    • We don’t have many “seasonal” colors because there aren’t lots of deciduous trees here, so that first one is special. 🙂 The second is in southern California, which is different.

  10. Sue says:

    Love that second image!

  11. Prior... says:

Janet – so clever how the branch is above the rocks and leaves – the two photos were paired so well!
    Nice for seasonal

  12. belocchio says:

Precious leaves of gold. Fleeting beauty. Ephemeral gold. Enjoy the moment. . It is fleeting..

  13. Resa says:

Neat, Janet! Wish money grew on the plant!

  14. Lignum Draco says:

Very “wabi sabi”. Lovely photos, Janet.

  15. Beautiful. Loved the colours…they bring in vibrancy yet a infuse a sense of calm 💛🧡
