Day three of one travel photo a day for ten days, no explanation necessary. I was nominated by Su at Zimmerbitch. One nomination: Dries at de Wets Wild, who shares the beauties of South Africa with us every day. If he doesn’t care to accept, visit the blog anyway. You won’t regret it. Dries, if you do participate, would you link/pingback to my blog/post?

Wow. Your photo took me back to a holiday T and I took in Corsica. We stayed at a vineyard and spent a wonderful evening sitting outdoors with a bottle of house wine. Amazing how powerfully memories can be evoked.
It really is and and in a time when we can’t travel internationally, it’s nice to be able to evoke them virtually. 🙂
Sigh …. Oh to travel again. But at least I can through pictures!
My feelings exactly.
I love the soft light. It peaceful.
It would have been peaceful to sit there with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and a pastry, although I would probably have shut the gate. 🙂
🙂
That looks inviting. Let’s go in and have a cuppa and something good to snack on too! 😀
I’m so ready for that!! I went to get my second shingles shot this morning and although I had an appointment at the doctor’s office for 9 am, it was 10:30 by the time I got out. Not OK!!
Ugh! I still need to get that vaccine. I had shingles in my 50’s!!
I don’t want to get that!!
That’s beautiful, Janet. I love how it opens onto a scene. It’s so peaceful and welcoming. Hugs on the wing.
Thanks, Teagan. I think it peaceful and welcoming, too, although I imagine the family wouldn’t have loved having us sit there and have a coffee. 🙂
