Great picture…I’m guessing somewhere in Mesa Verde? I like the angle it’s taken from – usually cliff dwelling pictures are shot from above.
It’s Montezuma’s Castle not far from Sedona, Arizona.
Thanks – another place we’ll have to visit one of these days.
I’ve already nominated Debbie!!
Sue, I did these in advance, so any overlap is just going to stay there. 🙂
Yes, of course!
Love this image, by the way!
Thanks, Sue. 🙂
That is quite something to see Janet!
I’ve seen it several times and enjoyed it each time.
I would like to see it one day!
Goodness, this is gorgeous!
I can feel the desert wind slapping my cheek and the sand soft underfoot.
Thanks for sharing.
I’m glad you enjoyed it, Patricia. There are other cliff dwellings in the part of the country, but this one is fairly close and I’m looking forward to visiting again.
Can you climb and visit inside? So grand! So scary 🙂
It reminded me of he Rose City of Petra in Jordan. A place I’d very much like to travel to one day.
No. Some years ago you could, but there evidently were too many tourists and the Park Service was afraid the dwelling would deteriorate too quickly.
That’s a very cool looking place.
It’s not too far away and a place I’ll enjoy visiting more often now that we live out here. I can stop there on the way to Sedona or Flagstaff. 🙂
Wow!! This looks great
It’s not a large national park but you get a great view of the cliff dwelling and the rest of the park is lovely and informative.

Sometimes small is quirkier though
True and can be just as nice but easier to navigate.
Arizona? I would never have guessed that!
Arizona is full of wonders, natural and manmade. A great portion of it was Indian country and reservations still make up a great deal of it.
