Yes, I get homesick for the Naperville, the Midwest, winter and snow (and I know people think I’m crazy, and all our friends. But there are of course lots of good things here as well, including being able to sit outside in the middle of January (at least if I bundle up or wait until mid-afternoon), having clothes dry outside in about two seconds in the summer, being near my parents and brother and his family and closer to our daughter and son-in-law in southern California.
Lovely! It fell 🙂 🙂
It fell into fall…or autumn, but then I lose the wordplay. 🙂
Love the simplicity of this photo.
Thanks, Jude. 🙂

That was exactly what I thought, because over doing It is a mistake I often make.
I’m glad you liked it, too, Jack. Happy New Year.

Beautiful in it’s simplicity!
I thought so, too, Aletta. 🙂
SImple and poignant.
And pretty. 🙂 Thanks, Frank. I should have some rain/drop photos off to you either today.
Excellent … will be on the lookout!
That’s lovely, Janet.
Nature shining on a manmade surface! Nice, Janet! 🌞
Much more contrast than on the rocks that surround landscaping here. 🙂
The least said the better, silence is golden, the golden brown of your leaf.
Love the backlight and shadow of it.
I was walking home from the store and couldn’t pass it up. 🙂
😀
Silence is golden, like the colour of your leaf.😎
Just the leaf would be pretty, but the shadow makes this image extra special.
Thanks, Su. Lots of shadows when there’s so much sun, but not the dramatic skies near you. 🙂
so simple and beautiful! 🙂 🙂
Thanks very much, Wilma.
Beauty brought to our screens by Janet. 😍
Many thanks, Sylvia. 😘
…. but it’s early mid winter!!!!
🙃
Lovely colour!
Yes, but in Arizona, it’s not like winter at all, at least winter as I’ve known it all my life. 🙂
… which is how I’m knowing winter; like you used to know it.
Is it just wonderful there? Do you ever get homesick for Chicago?
