Yeah, this is what I do…or what I really like to do. Get up close and personal. See small things that others might miss. Look more and more closely. So you can imagine that choosing photos for this wasn’t at all easy although it was fun. After I hit five, I stopped. But I hope you enjoy the five I chose and thanks to Anne for hostessing this week.

I like these, Janet!
Thanks very much, Sue. ❤️
😊😊
Magnificent! You inspire me. Now if I could just make Benny (the dog) hold still while I bend down to get closer to the things I see! LOL
Yeah, the dog thing would be a problem. 😉😂😂
Wow Janet, your opener is dazzling and your leaves are truly wonderful. I love the way you’ve captured the light and the nature of the subjects. Beautifully done.
Thanks so much, Tina. I do love a good vista, but seeing the small things that often aren’t seen is one of my photographic joys. 🙂
Absolutely beautiful!
Thanks. I’m glad you enjoyed them. 🙂 It’s so much fun to find the small things.
A unique perspective, Janet! Beautifully done! 🌞
Many thanks, Lisa. 🙂
Janet, thanks for participating in this challenge! Your macros are wonderful. I especially like the icy leaf. You handle light beautifully!
Many thanks, Anne. ❤
I especially like 3 and 4. The light through that leaf is lovely 🙂 🙂
Thanks so much, Jo.
They are beautiful Janet; and I totally believe how difficult it must have been to make a selection!
I’m very happy you like them, Su. I do love macro and close-ups. 🙂
Your first and last photos are my favorites — I love water droplets and snow, but hardly get out with my camera for either. But I also love the critter shots as well. I guess it means that I like them all!
I’ll take that. 🙂 Now that I’m in Arizona, water droplets are rare and in the Phoenix area, snow non-existent. I have to do some archive diving to enjoy them now. Have to admit that I love drop shots and snow, too.

These are excellent, Janet.
Thanks very much, Dan. I heard Skippy liked them too. 🙂
Beautiful, especially the leaf images.
Thanks very much, Teresa.
Amazing macro captures, Janet. I love the leaf especially!!
That day there were so many ice crystals that I could hardly walk. I just kept taking photos. 😉
Stunning choices, but I must admit I love the first and last. Your skills are showing. 🙂
Thanks. I’m partial to that first one too, Judy. As long as it’s only my skills showing, I’m good. 😉
Beautiful!! Well done.
Thanks so much, John. 😊

Wonderful photos. Like the last one with the frost on the leaf. Great shots of things we all miss as we venture around this world.
That’s on of the things I greatly enjoy–bringing everyday, overlooked things to people’s attention and maybe getting people to look a bit more closely at the beauty that surrounds them.
Yes, there are lots of small things in the world that most people miss. I try to keep my eyes open wide.
Little worlds around us that we’re never aware of! Good thing for people like you that can see them!
Thanks so much. One of my photographic and blogging goals is to share things like this and hopefully encourage people to look a bit more closely at things they’d ordinarily overlook.

Excellent job!
I love the first one with the drops and web strand the most, and the leaves!
I don’t use my macro lens enough. Mostly I bring it out in the Spring for flowers. I should carry it around more your images are inspiring.
I didn’t use a macro lens for any of these, so don’t worry about carrying another lens all the time. I’ve taken macros with a telephoto at 6’+. 🙂 I also use my phone.
I do the same, but then it’s a close up not a macro. In the spring I lug it around for flowers. And my lensbaby.
True, but get closer and it could be. 🙂 Possibly.
There’s a limit to how close the lens will actually focus though. My longest lens has 10ft minimum focusing distance while my 50mm has 1ft. I seldom use the 50mm. 😀
How delicate is that first photo….
Thanks. 🙂

Lovely photos Janet!
Many thanks, Aletta. 🙂
Every one a gem, I liked the first one the best.
I would have cropped it till only the three dew drops and the necklace Webb coming up from the right hand corner were visible but perhaps that would have made it too abstract.😎
That would look cool, too, Jack. Maybe I’ll use that for a future post. Thanks. I’d have to be sure the focus was still sharp, though.

Beautiful pictures 😊
Thanks very much and thanks for the visit and comment.

Excellent series of small thing, Janet.
The leaf with the frost is outstanding.
Nicely done for the challenge.
Be Safe 😷
Izzy 😎
Thanks, Izzy. You two stay safe and healthy as well. ❤
Lovely shots, Janet.
At first I thought the opening pic was some sort of tech lamp… you know instead of a gooseneck, a bent neck with special led bulbs.
It’s your fault You whet my imagination.
🙂 I’m happy to whet your imagination, I just never want to wet it!
Lol!
Wow, Janet! Love that hummingbird moth!
They were so interesting and loved the bush right outside our living room, so we had front row seats. I miss that bush!
♥ 🙂
