It would be pretty cold up there right now, but it’s nice in the summer, although there was one year where we had snow well into June and around the cabin, not just on the peaks.
It would be pretty cold right now, but it wasn’t too bad that day. Snow on the peaks and grey, but other than that, not bad. π Often when we’re there in later summer, there’s either no snow or only a little on the peaks, so I loved seeing all the snow that year.
It’s a scene close to my heart, Jane, and I’m looking forward to when my husband retire and we can spend half the summer there, sharing time with my brother and his family. There’s usually at least a little snow way up on the highest peaks but that year there was a lot of snow, because we were there early. It was gorgeous.
I have joined you on there, but of course, I’m a day late and I’m not sure if that’s allowed. I don’t like adding a challenge when my post has already been up most of the day, but as it happens it works for today’s offering…same skyline, but different π π I have a walk later in the day too. All go, isn’t it? Have a nice one!
Good idea, Ally, but thankfully it wasn’t nearly as cold as it looked. π The snow-covered peaks are quite a bit higher than where I was, which helps.
Perfect for both challenges!!
Thanks, Aletta. It’s been fun trying to be able to do my normal posts and link with SquareUp as well.
That is a brilliant idea!
Love that kind of views – reminds me that (when I become too self-solemn) nature overrules me far. π
It’s a good idea to realize that for all we humans can do, nature is quite powerful.
A gorgeous picture.
I’m glad you like it. I know I love it.

I am happy to just look from afar. But it looks safer and calmer than anything 500 miles around me ….. all ways. lol

Now that’s a sweet skyline !
Have to agree with that, Dan. Hey, how about those Packers against the No. 1 defense? π
You only have to make one mistake against the Packers. That was a fun game to watch,
A great photo! It’s so dramatically different than what we have over here in the mid-Atlantic area.
π Dave, it’s different than those where I’ve lived almost my entire life in the Midwest as well, but I love it dearly.

Oh yes this is superb π
Iβm glad you liked it, Becky, even with that dayβs grey skies. π
Wow!
Exactly how I feel every time I see this view, with or without snow. π
Iβm sure!
Looks a bit chilly, but what a view!

Definitely a ‘superb skyline’. Hope you’re having a good weekend!
I am having a good weekend. How about you?
Donβt you just love Wyoming?! Great photo, Janet! π
I do love Wyoming. No doubt about it! π
Love the beauty of snow on the mountains! Beautiful scene, Janet.

That’s a very dramatic skyline indeed. Brings back good memories, although a little chilly. π

Stunning and inspiring. I recall driving through the Big Horns a few years ago and being very pleasantly surprised.
They’re beautiful and much less tourist-y than the Tetons or Rockies.
Pretty, pretty. If it’s going to be cold, then let it look pretty. That’s what I say.

Spectacular shot, Janet!
Easy to do there. π
I can practically smell the fresh air… Such gorgeous, if forbidding terrain.
When the sunβs out, itβs so inviting. π. But to me itβs beautiful at all times. The air is wonderful.
