I was rather careful and in summer I’d likely never get that shot or get it with only one car and no people. What was fun was seeing a postcard of that same view from a photo taken many, many years ago. 🙂
Thanks very much, Dan. As I mentioned at other times when I featured photos from this short trip, on our last day, we were treated to clouds hanging down in the park, some wisps of which you can see in the second shot, making it breath-takingly beautiful.
Tremendous! That has to be the best kind of large. I love the second shot because of the low cloud.
I’d love to be somewhere like that now – openness and fresh air! Even though I can walk in woods at the moment, it’s not the same as just gazing at open space and stunning views
We have the opposite situation here in Arizona: lots of open spaces and no forests. LOL. At least where we are. But we have lots of sunshine and fresh air although the air quality isn’t always the best.
Your second photo is spectacular – the mountain LOOMS, and it’s hard to get that feeling of enormous size in a picture. (I think part of the reason it works so well is that the trees give a sense of scale.)
How fabulous is that first view, Janet? Almost worth standing in the road and getting run over 🙂 🙂

🤗💕
Fantastic!
I’m glad you enjoyed the view.
😊
Drop all the bad guys on top of that. No escape! Save money on prisons.
I wouldn’t let them anywhere near all this beauty! 🙂
True!! Someone would probably carve their initials into the stone. 😦
And all of them would block the view. 😂
That does it then!!
Who says big isn’t beautiful!?
🙂
Well done. Those are beautiful photos, Janet.

It really is. The composition of the bottom photo is perfect.
Thanks!
Stunning photos … and large? Oh yes … the amount of stone in those images is beyond comprehension.
It’s quite a sight, Frank. Awesome in the original sense of the world.
Wow! It is just stunning!
Yosemite is a stunning place, Aletta.
I can imagine that!

Love car trips!
I do too!
Although it is one of those places on earth that are so powerful and difficult in real life to capture, I think you did a great job.
Thanks, JT. It truly is stunningly beautiful and awesome in the true sense of the word. That’s definitely difficult to capture.
Brings back happy memories, we visited there in 2008. I’ve got photos from that trip for my entry.
It’s an amazing place and because we went in March that year, there weren’t all the people that are there in the summer. I really appreciated that!
Wow, Janet. I love that image of the mountain in the clouds. Fabulous light and texture.
Thanks very much, Patti. It was a magical day and I was able to get lots of fog/cloud photos.
Yes, magical.

El Capitan definitely looms. 🙂 I’m happy you liked the photo, Sharon.
Love the last photo Janet!
El Capitan is quite impressive, isn’t it?
Yes very impressive
Those views never get old! Gorgeous images, Janet.
❤ Glad you enjoyed them again, Deborah.
😀
Stunning! Especially the second photo.
Thanks, Su. Yosemite is such an awesome place.
