Thanks, Brian. It’s been a busy day and now I’m paying the price with scads of comments and blogs to catch up on. How rude of life and cleaning to get in the way! 🙂
Your photo of the bittersweet is so vibrant and lovely, Janet. We don’t see it in Calif., and it instantly brought to mind my mother’s love for it. Thanks for that memory.
The most beautiful things this world are mostly poisonous. This is a very pretty picture and that vibrant colour of the fruit is pretty tempting.
Amazing capture!

I’d love to have a pair of yellow wings!
🙂 I know. Great color for wings.
They’re a bit wrinkly (like me), but a lovely shot 🙂 🙂
I guess as we get older the wings get wrinkly too. 🙂 Maybe that’s why it’s bittersweet. Hee, hee.
Beautiful photo. Wonderful colours. 😊
Thanks, Orna. Good to see you and I hope you’re having a lovely Italian weekend. Love to Tom.
Love it janet 🙂 🙂

I know janet. A few days away and the catch-up with comments and reading the fabulous blogs that land on my page can be daunting 🙂 🙂
Such bright colour!
A vivid combination, that’s for sure.
Yellow always brightens our day. Like the yellow and red combination in this picture.
I agree, Peggy. Hope you’re having a good weekend.
Ah – to have wings and fly away – always my dream. And yellow ones would be delightful. Lovely shot, Janet.
Thanks very much, A-C. I love those colors.
They would come in handy!
No matter the color. I agree.
May I know its name?
Bittersweet. 🙂
Woww..amazing I thought you just put a name..
😉
how lovely
Thanks, Beth. It’s impressive when there’s a lot of it.
I salute your eyes for capturing this beauty!
My eyes thank you. 🙂
Gorgeous colours! What are they?
Bittersweet.
Thank you Janet. I don’t know bittersweet.
It’s a North American plant. If you want to know more: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/bittersweet/growing-bittersweet-vines.htm
Thank you for the link. Will check it out!
Those are pretty, and look ripe. Good find.
Thanks. They are beautiful.

I don’t see it here, either, but there was a lot of it in the park in Illinois.
Beautiful yellow “wings”! Love it, Janet!
Thanks, Amy. I love them too.
Bittersweet is a great name – the red fruits look temptingly sweet, just a shame they are poisonous! Great shot, Janet
Glad you like the shot, Debbie. I love the look but often things that are beautiful are dangerous or poisonous.
This is beautiful Janet. And reading the comments, I now know the plant’s name 😀
I only had my six words, but I did put it in the tags. 🙂 Glad you liked it.
Stunning! I just love the color combo! 🌞
Bright, happy colors.
Wow Janet – this one sure got everyone’s attention – mine too! Those yellow wings are marvelous! Are they little tangerines or something more exotic?
Nothing exotic, just bittersweet. But it is pretty at that time of year.
…. but I don’t have any wings! If I did I’d be happy with yellow ones.
Lovely shot, Janet!
Thanks, Resa. That color combination might be a bit much in clothing (or not) but it looks pretty darn good on the bittersweet.
Lovely!

You’re right, very bright and beautiful things are often poisonous. Glad you liked the shot. 🙂
