Costa Rica was beautiful but hot. Cafe Milagro turned out to be a favorite hangout not far from our hotel. Costa Rica is known for its coffee, but this lime drink was possibly the most refreshing thing I’ve ever drunk.

I love anything with very limy, do you have the recipe for this cool looking drink? You have picked a great contrast with the yellow background.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the recipe. My guess is that they made it like lemonade and then put it over crushed ice. Perhaps if you emailed Cafe Milagro they might be persuaded to share the recipe. 🙂

They are obviously not shy of using colour in Costa Rica!
Very tropical, Jude, and much like you might see in parts of Provence as well.
Mmmm. That does look refreshing.
We had to walk some distance to get to the cafe and it was quite warm besides, so you can imagine how good that tasted and felt. 🙂
I’m craving for a hot place right now, and this lime drink seems yummy!
Me too!
It was delicious. I had it every time we stopped there. 🙂 Now that we’re living in Arizona, I’d love having it here during the summer.

Enjoy!!
We greatly enjoyed it, Aletta, and would love to go back. Maybe someday.
Hope you can!
Just looking at this bright, boldly colored photo is like an instant infusion of sunshine. Gorgeous and refreshing!
Thanks, Hannah. I wish I knew how they made the drink, although my guess is like a frozen lemonade but with lime juice.
Agreed, Hannah! 🌞
Refreshing is good … and love the colors and how they make the straw shine.
The colors make me happy. 🙂
Ah! Love Cafe Milagro. I always got the mocha frozen coffee after trekking up the long walk down to the Playitas. Did you venture down to that end of the beach? Away from the main hotels.
Where we were staying, you had to walk down to the beach and there weren’t a lot of hotels. At the time, I didn’t drink coffee but now that frozen mocha sounds wonderful. It would be good here in Arizona in the summer! 🙂
It’s a very colourful place and that drink against the bright yellow background is no exception.
Yes, very tropical colors.
I love the color of that drink. It seemed healthy before I knew what was in it even.
🙂 So it’s a mentally healthy drink as well.
Love the vibrant colors! Almost makes me want to repaint my studio.
Aren’t they great? 🙂
Love the tropical and heerful colors, Janet!
Thanks, Amy. I agree. 😉
Love the color-block composition –nice!
Thanks very much, Donna. I really liked how it turned out, too.

Yum: I love all things lime-flavoured.
Me too.
Lime makes me happy too, Su! 🌞
Given the choice in that tropical climate I would also go for the cool drink every time (and take a bag of coffee along to savour when I’m back home)
I brought coffee back as gifts and it smelled so good!!
I’d try it! The colors are wonderful.
As was the drink. 😉
That looks so refreshing. Lime is my favourite flavour. Chocolate doesn’t come anywhere close to lime. I squeeze fresh lime juice into my OJ, every morning. Delish, and gets me going.
Yes, chocolate in your OJ wouldn’t taste too good. They had good chocolate there as well. 🙂
I do recall having a chocolate once, with a lime centre. Very tasty.
Oj and chocolate doesn’t work for me. Lol!
I’d love dark chocolate with a lime center! Mmmm.
Mmmmm!!!!!
Cheerful and colorful shot, Janet! I like it a lot! 🌞
I was glad to find it again. I’m considering getting print made and framing it because it makes me happy, too.
That sounds like a great idea! 🌞
