Stunning shot Janet
Thanks very much, Su. 🙂 Hope your weekend is going well.
Thanks Janet. Saturday was great; today … sigh. But I am grateful our government is being proactive with Covid
This is an awesome shot, Janet.
Thanks, Teresa. I’m glad you liked it. 🙂
Absolutely beautiful!
I find the snowy egrets endlessly fascinating. 🙂
what a stunning portrait
Thanks, Becky! Wasn’t it nice of him/her to sit for a portrait? And he didn’t even ask for a copy. 🙂
😀
What a handsome creature! Happy Saturday, Janet 🙂 🙂
They are. I always enjoy watching them. Happy Saturday to you, too, Jo.
that bird is stunning
I think they’re beautiful, so it’s nice to get a photo that let’s other people see that as well. 🙂 Have a great weekend, Beth.
This is a lovely portrait. Love the yellow details 💛
Glad you liked it, Jude. The yellow is how you can tell the snowy egrets like this handsome devil from the larger great egrets which are handsome as well.
Another thing I miss from South Carolina – beautiful snowy egrets. Gorgeous shot. 🙂
There are usually lots and lots of them at the Preserve and I always enjoy watching them. They’re more spritely than the great egrets (which I also enjoy watching) and are often zipping about or flying here and there.
Gorgeous bird –
Glad you enjoyed him/her, Peggy. I wonder how you tell the difference between a him and a her? 🙂
Not sure how you tell a male from a female bird when they are both the same color.
I’ll have to look it up, but it might be something not easily seen. 🙂
So true in so much of life. As a co-worker used to say, it doesn’t cost that much more to be first-class. That little bit extra are the details that make a difference.
Very true. Going that extra yard…or sometimes a mile.
And such find details we have today. Excellent photo, Janet.
Thanks, Dan! I hope you’re enjoying your Saturday.
Beautiful photo 🙂
Thanks, Dave, both for visiting and commenting. I appreciate both and I’m happy you liked the photo. These birds are so photogenic. 🙂

Great shot! What a gorgeous bird.
They’re also quite playful sometimes or what appears playful to me, skipping along the surface of the water, flying all around. Maybe it’s not playfulness, only looking for food or running off other birds, but it looks quite light-hearted.
I don’t see them often here. This one is gorgeous. Great shot and image, Janet!
Thanks, Deborah. I think they’re beautiful which makes me glad the photo conveys that.
😀
Wow, he’s a beauty, Janet! Nice shot! 🌞
Thanks, Lisa. He was.
A vision of elegance and grace. What a beautiful creature, beautifully captured.
Thanks, Hannah. Glad you enjoyed his beauty.
beautiful capture!
Thanks very much, klara. 🙂
what a great shot, Janet!
Thanks, Wilma. Great to hear from you.
Janet- The Snowy Egret’s details are astonishing- those yellow feet and nose clip are key for identification. I think they are smaller than the Great Egrets. (There’s one of those in our front wetland area at the moment;) )
Jane
The snowys are smaller and much more lively, too. 😉
Very beautiful bird! Excellent capture.
Thanks very much, Rebecca, and welcome to March. 🙂

Thanks, Janet! I’m very happy March is here!

Janet, what a lovely picture of the white egret, isn’t it? Don’t you love those lacey feathers? Have you met Lisa Coleman. She has the Bird Weekly Challenge. This is a perfect entry. 🙂
Thanks, Marsha. There are so many egrets at the Preserve and they always seem to be photogenic. I haven’t met Lisa, but I’ll have to find her since take so many bird photos now.
Yes, Janet, here’s my interview of her, and you can go from there. https://tchistorygal.net/2021/03/09/challenge-interview-series-bird-weekly-photo-challenge/. It’s perfect for you! 🙂
