A few days ago at Trader Joe’s I saw this beauty in the parking lot. As I was admiring it, the owner came out and opened the car for me. It’s a custom Studebaker with wood inside and out. And oh, yes…it has doors, too.

Now that is some car. Imagine wood on a car – wow Liked both cars you featured and of course their doors.

What amazing cars. A great idea not to limit your doors to houses.

Beautiful. And not surprised to find it in the Trader Joe’s parking lot.

Well, I am old enough to remember gas=guzzling cars resembling boats being the norm on the street ! This one truly is a vintage beauty . . . and this is the first time I have seen an interior roof-line decorated in such manner . . . fascinating !

    • I’d never seen anything like it before, certainly not the interior. There were woodie cars but as far as I know, that was only on the outside. Lots of older cars are quite long, aren’t they?

I’m not much of a car person, but that is seriously wonderful 😍

Obviously this beautiful vehicle has an owner who loves it!

  17. Jane says:

Janet- that was certainly a show-stopper of a find! I hope the owner has an air conditioned garage. The heat both in and outside of the car could ruin that beautiful wood in a short time.. I imagine.

  18. That’s a beach car and a beautiful one! Nice sighting and owner to let you look and photograph it for us.

  19. marianallen says:

OMG, I have such car envy right now! I love my car, but oh, that wood and shine!

  20. Cheryl says:

Wow, what an amazing car! And those doors! Actually, I was born in a Studebaker – really! It was back in 1967 in Australia, my dad was a car enthusiast and had a few classic cars over the years. The Studebaker I was born in wasn’t as beautiful as this one though. Thanks for sharing this, it’s gorgeous!
