The Palo Verde trees are once again blooming, making the one of my favorite things to see at the Preserve.
And since we’re almost at an end for “yellow” as the color challenge of the month, I’ll throw this in for good measure, even though I don’t know what it is. The plant in the background is an aloe vera.

Striking photos
Thanks, Sheree, and happy Friday.
You too
Pretty! That first looks like some kind of broom? 🙂 🙂 Happy Friday!
Palo verde is a tree. Is broom be a tree?
More like a shrub in the UK yellow version but the white variety that grows here is long and willowy 😊💕
Lovely!
Thanks, Sue.
The Palo Verde definitely looks like broom and the second flower some kind of senecio. I am very impressed by the number of yellows you have found Janet. 😊
I did do some digging, Jude. But I had more than I thought, although quite a few were different photos of the same types of flowers every year. 😉
Unless a person has been to Arizona they have no idea of the plants that bloom throughout the state. The desert displays much beauty.
That it does. I’m looking forward to seeing the saguaros bloom this year. We missed most of that last year.
Well, it’s certainly yellow. And pretty.
Thanks, Dan, and happy Friday.
Getting to know the plants in the Southwest will take some time to get acquainted. Quite a marvel and a great adventure.
It is both of those things.
Beautifully captured!
Thanks, Aletta. 🙂
Very pretty! Thank you!
Lovely! Bright yellows are so springy!
I love to see yellow in nature, too.
