Everyday black and white 2

No whiskey connection today, just another black and white/monochrome/greyscale photo. How do you feel about black and white photography? I tend to like color, but B&W does get you to focus on lines and details and gives a feel that differs from the same photo in color, so I think it’s more what you want to convey or emphasize.

Abstract art? Is that water in the basket, Janet? Can’t be, but I’m confused by what I’m seeing šŸ™‚ šŸ™‚

  2. I like also like color, but good photographers who how to make B&W work for me. Well done.Janet.

  3. I like color best of all, but sometimes nature even gives us black and white images especially in winter. Your basket/rattan table looks cool in black and white.

  4. I must admit, I’ve really neglected black and white photography since graduating from college. It’s such a powerful, artful approach that shows everyday scenes in an entirely new light. I should really try incorporating it into more of my personal projects.

I think choosing when to use black and white is a skill. Some photos look better, some look better in color.

Great shot. I’ve done a few selfies in black and white recently and like the look.

I really like b&w photography, but tend to shoot / edit in colour. Somehow, not many of my photos work as well monochrome šŸ¤”

    • I always shoot in color, but sometimes I play around with editing to B&W. I feel a bit that same, that most of my photos tend to not be as good in B&W, but maybe that’s because I’m so used to color.

  8. So simple and so striking a visual

    So… we’re basket cases? šŸ˜€

What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, that or the other thing.
