It’s been some time since I share doors from my trip to Flagstaff so I’ll get back to them today. I have two that are blue which brings to mind the old song “Love is Blue” which we probably all believe is a Paul Mauriat song (yes, he did sing it) but was actually written and performed first by Marty Robbins. Fun fact for today. I’m sure you remember the first verse:
Blue, blue, my doors are blue. Blue are the doors I’m sharing with you. Grey, grey, the sky was grey. But happy my heart for a nice trip away.
You might remember that Lisa and I met and had coffee at Late for the Train Coffee shop. After chatting for some time, we walked around the picturesque downtown and soon it was lunch time. Lisa recommended a Thai restaurant, which made me very happy as I hadn’t had Thai food, good or bad, since leaving Naperville. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the name of the restuarant (Lisa, if you read this, please share it in your comment), but my food, Pad See Ew, was delicious! I love rice noodles and the tofu was done just right. Still more doors to share in upcoming posts but for today, that’s it.
Just FYI, today Frank at Beach Walk Reflections has a post about bones, featuring my photos. Drop by, getting your think spurred by his reflections, and see some bones. Tell him I sent you. 🙂
Gorgeous shade of blue
I agree, Sheree. 🙂

Thanks Janet
Perfect doors – blue is my favorite color.
I love blue, too, Peggy.
Handsome blue doors and lunch – win win.
And getting to meet a fellow blogger! Win-win-win! The trifecta.
I really like the color of the second door. It looks like a comfortable pair of old jeans. The top entrance is beautiful, Janet, and I do remember that song 😏
It’s good to see food bring featured. There have been so few good pictures shared this past year. I’m not a fan of tofu, bug it looks very good.
I hope you have a great day!
You’re right about the jean color of the second door, Dan. Tofu takes on the taste of what’s around it and as the taste of this dish was delicious, so was the tofu.
I hope you have a great day, too. I started with a walk, so things are off to a good start.
I started with a walk, too. Followed by my second shot, so it’s a good day. And, it’s 65 degrees!
That’s about the same temperature as it is here today, Dan. A hot day for you, a cool one for us. 🙂
Great shade on the opening image, but for me, I love the archway and Thai food.
Something attractive about each of them, right? It was so good to have Thai food again. There was a Thai restaurant in downtown Naperville that had wonderful food and great lunch specials, so we used to go there periodically.
Oh, I do like those blue doors with the gold trim. They’re fancy. Lunch looks really good!
Lunch was delicious. 🙂
😀
Deborah, this is apropos of nothing to do with the post but since I know you like birds and bird photography, go to this post today by Dave who lived in Indiana and takes great bird photos. But these of the eagles are just something else.
Tell him I sent you. Maybe he’ll sent me an eagle or a photo. Yeah, right!
Thanks for sharing with me. The images are amazing! I’d love to see Eagles fishing!
I’m so envious of what he saw! I’d love to see that many eagles and to see them fishing would be even better. I knew you’d love them.
I did and have the envy you do regarding Eagles and fishing.
Such a lovely shade of blue, Janet. I love Thai food too. Sounds like you had a nice meet up over great food.
I did. It was an excellent trip and I even got to see some snow. Made me happy.
I enjoyed your blue door photos and the accompanying serenading with it, Janet. The Thai lunch looks fantastic, too.
The doors were a great find, but meeting Lisa and the lunch were even better. A road trip was nice, too. 🙂
Oh, I love those blue doors!
Thanks, Janet. They’re quite eye-catching, aren’t they?
Lovely shot of that decorative arch and its ‘faded denim’ blue door. Your food looks delicious.
The food was SO good especially after not really doing anything but takeout for so long.
We can only get take out here at the moment but they are all very good, especially the Indian just down the street from our house.
Loving your lyrics Janet. We’ve had (home-cooked) Thai food the last two nights. A red chicken curry with homegrown chillies in the paste, and the boy-child’s pad Thai. I do love it when he comes over and cooks for us
Yum! I’ve never done Thai food at home but perhaps it’s time to try. I can’t do very spicy food, although my husband can, but it can be so flavorful while not being hot. As for the lyrics, I’m glad you enjoyed them but I’m not thinking of giving up my day job. 🙂
Hehe.
One of the things I like about a lot of Thai dishes is that many aren’t particularly hot. The chillies we grow are very mild because while we like the taste of fresh chilli, neither of us is crazy about having our tongues flayed.
I make green and red curry pastes and keep them in the fridge, so actually making a curry is really quick and easy.
Sounds delicious, Su.
Beautiful blue doors, Janet.
This is the second time I visit today, first time I realized I was hungry 🙂
I wish I could give you some of the food, Patricia. It was so fresh and tasty. Thanks for coming by twice and for commenting this time.

Ha ha 🙂 Thanks, Janet 😉
Love the blue doors.. but I want to eat now that I’ve seen your picture!!!
It makes me want to eat as well and it’s my photo. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.

The West Moon doors are beautiful. Your photo is great. I want to visit that shop right now.
It was a great shop. 🙂
Impressive blue hue capture.
Glad you enjoyed it.

Love the blue colour : )
The first one was especially cheerful and eye-catching.

lovely shades of blue, Janet! i love thai food! yum! 🙂
Thanks, Wilma. I’m glad you liked them all.

Hmmm…. Not sure about those lyrics, but I like ’em. That lunch — I am all about noodles, and I LOVE tofu done right.
Yeah, I love noodles and pasta of all shapes and tofu can be so good.
janet
I still don’t have the knack, but I love to get tofu in a restaurant that really knows how to do it up right.
Love Thai food!! Le Yum!
Definitely!

Hi, Janet, I enjoyed seeing these photos on your post! The restaurant is called Red Curry Vegan Kitchen. The food was excellent! Flagstaff has a lot of really good restaurants. I can think of 4 great Thai places off the top of my head! Snow continues to fall while the sun is shining here, a phenomenon I had not witnessed regularly til this winter. 🌞
Thanks for reminding me of the name, Lisa. I really liked it and if I get back, we could go there again or try somewhere else. Enjoy the snow-sunshine combination. It’s magical.
Yes, absolutely! 🌞
Well found! Not many blue doors around.
They’re pretty nice, aren’t they?
Very nice!!!!
Love the colors! Nice shot!
Pat
