After a long ride, we tied the horses’ halter ropes to convenient tree branches before hiking down to a rushing creek that ended in a waterfall not far from us. This slowly flowing side steam provided a place to climb on rocks and stick our feet in the icy water before having lunch and mounting up for the ride back to the cabin.

What a beautiful spot!
To me almost everything out there is beautiful. 🙂
That’s true 😊
It’s a lovely spot for lunch and soaking your feet.
That’s very true and the ride there and back is rather nice too.
Beautiful shot and it sounds like a wonderful way to spend a day in your favorite place.
It was and since the girls were with me, it was quite special, as they can’t always get there anymore and usually not at the same time.
That looks like a lovely shady spot, nice to dip tired toes into.
It is. Just have to get the boots off first and then make sure your feet are really dry before putting them back on! 🙂 The sound of the water is wonderful (and quite loud as it’s nearing the falls and rushing quite quickly in the main stream.)
It would be so hard to leave that place. Beautiful, Janet.
It’s hare every year. Once you-know-who retires we plan to spend half the summer there, splitting time with my brother and his family who own the cabin with ut.
