One of our favorite groups is Pink Martini, a group that can do all types of music in all sorts of languages on all kinds of instruments and all superbly. I’ve been privileged to hear them more than once, this time with my husband in Chicago where they also brought along the Von Trapp grandchildren. It was marvelous and naturally the stage was lighted in bright pink.

I don’t know them but have got them up on Spotify now. I love listening v to music in other languages so this will keep me entertained this morning 😀

    • I hope you enjoy them, Debbie. They are certainly multi-talented, so there’s something for almost everyone and in at least four languages that I’ve heard: English, French, Spanish, and Japanese!

  6. Love Armando Mio! Have a good week, Janet.

    • Oddly enough, my sister-in-law and I walked into a brocante store (secondhand store) in rural France one day, only to hear Pink Martini being played. What fun!

I’m not familiar with this group, but am familiar with pink martinis. Don’t suppose they serve those drinks during the performances, do they?

Pink Martini is a favorite in this household, too. We’ve been lucky enough to see them several times, mostly in Washington State, but a couple of years ago they came to the Big Island and played in a small local theater. They’re not just musically gifted and varied, they also put on a great show every time.

I’ve never heard of them but they sound great 🙂 🙂

  11. So atmospheric! Impressive what a simple colored light can do for a scene, and I love how fittingly thematic it is.

Neat shot, and here I thought it was going to be a fancy mixed drink. Fooled me!
