That’s so pretty.
It wasn’t very big but there were a number of them among the other flowers and each was a gem.
It’s always fun to find those.
It’s always a joy when there are so many wildflowers, whether large or small.
Beautiful. How fantastic is every small thing in nature.
I agree, Peggy, and I think that the small, unexpected things are often the most appreciated if you take time to look for them.
๐๐ Yes, look and see the little things.
One of my goals in life. And then take photos of them to share. ๐
Gorgeous flower!
Thanks, Rebecca. I really should see whether I can find out what it is, but I’m a bit too busy right now to do so. I loved finding them while hiking, though.
I’ve never seen them before. They look like purple lanterns. Native to WY I guess.
I have no idea if they’re native to Wyoming or not, but they certainly are beautiful. ๐
What a gorgeous little blossom! It’s so unique. I’m really taken with it. Great shot. Hugs on the wing.
Hugs back to you, Teagan. I was enamored instantly. ๐

๐ Great minds. I thought the same thing.
what a beautiful flower
I hadn’t seen any of these before so it was an exciting find besides being beautiful. ๐
love it when this happens – hope you manage to identify it
It’s called a shooting star. ๐
what a wonderful name ๐
That is amazing!
Isn’t it a beauty? I fell in love immediately.
Ah, a Shooting Star! I love finding these in the wild. It’s a pretty one you found. ๐๐บ
Thanks and thanks for the ID, Deborah. โค๏ธ
You’re welcome! ๐บ๐ฅฐ
Stunning.
And imagine more than one, although they were somewhat scattered out. ๐
What a beautiful and unusual bloom!
Even among all the other wildflowers it stood out.
Ooo la la! Stunning!
I hope there will be some again this year!
Delightful, vibrant pink. It looks unique and I havenโt seen blooms like this.
It’s quite something, that’s for sure. A friend said it’s called a shooting star. I can see why.
