Although this purple was in Illinois, I think, we do get purple here in Arizona as well in the form of several types of flower in our backyard and elsewhere.
We have a number of bushes in our backyard that have purple flowers, so we’re enjoying those. I didn’t see any purple blossoms like these here, but I’m sure you’ll start seeing some soon (or of some color).
I’m not sure, Jo. This was back in Illinois. I’m excited because I’m doing a Tuesday three-day drive next week (as opposed to a Monday walk) to go back and visit all our friends. It’ll be interesting to see what the weather’s like there.
Not sure. I’m looking forward to the cooler weather but it’s going to be weird trying to pack when we’re having highs in the 90’s F and they’ll be just making it into the 70’s. 🙂
We had three lilac bushes at our house in Ohio: one each of white, lilac, and purple. When they were all blooming, it was lovely. The only bad thing is that lilacs don’t do well if it rains.
That they do. Have you ever smelled wisteria? A few years ago when I was in southern California, I went to Descanso Gardens and the wisteria was blooming. It looked much like lilacs at first and smelled amazing.
Beautiful
Spring blossoms are beautiful and always so welcome. 🙂
Absolutely
So pretty.
Thanks, Dan.
Purple is a fabulous spring color. Now I wonder – how much purple do we see in summer?

That looks lovely!
It was. 🙂
Nothing that bright a purple here yet. Lovely glimpse into my future.

Oh so beautiful Janet 😀
Thanks very much, Cee.
They’re lovely! What kind of blossom is it, Janet? 🙂 🙂

You’ll have acclimatised and become a hot house plant like me? Perhaps not yet 🙂 🙂

[…] Announcing spring — This, that and the other thing […]
Gorgeous shot. Reminds me a bit of Lilacs, my fave flower.

They sure smell good, though!

Oh, I ‘d like to smell that!
I also love the scent of jasmine.
Now, I have smelled that, somewhere.
