Although this has nothing to do with my photo of the heron, I was SO excited to find when I scheduled this post that WP has finally brought back a way to tell whether you have a post scheduled for a certain day! There’s now a small dot below each date that has a post, whether already out or scheduled. Finally!! My scheduling life has just gotten much easier. Dan, you’ll appreciate my joy because I’ve mentioned this lack to you more than once where we’re commiserating about WP issues. 🙂
Happy Tuesday to all of you!
Such a handsome chap! 🙂 🙂 I rarely schedule. You can probably tell, I’m more a ‘seat of my pants’ person!
That works too. 🥳😉
🤣💕
Friday?? It’s only Tuesday here. Has your scheduling gone awry? Or are you in a time-warp? Good photo regardless 😊
Whoops! I guess you know when I did the post. Either that or I just had some sort of senior moment. ☺️. All updated now. Glad you liked the photo though.
Where do you find this little dot? I schedule posts for my volunteer group. And, yes, it’s Tuesday as far as I know. 🙂
The day is now updated. 😉. To see the dot, when you get ready to schedule, hover over the date and dots should appear under any date you already have a post scheduled. If you just put the date and time into the boxes without using the calendar, I don’t think you’ll see one but I’d have to test that for sure. Does that make sense? If not! I’ll come back later and try again.
Heron – the peaceful stalker. I’m a scheduler, but I haven’t noticed the change.
Do you click on the date on the calendar or just put it into the box right away? You have to hover over a date on the calendar. Try it and if you don’t see it, let me know and I’ll try to explain it better.
You know I love reflections. That’s lovely.
Thanks, Dan. I love reflections too.
Thanks for the tip on the calendar. I hadn’t noticed that added feature. In my first look, I noticed a “bug”. I brought up a post I hadn’t yet scheduled to look at the calendar. My post on May 2 didn’t appear to have been published (no dot underneath the date.)
I had to check, and of course it was published. I opened another draft post just to look at the calendar again, and there was a dot under May 2.
It’s such a big help and I’m not sure why they did away with it so many months ago!
That purple hue really suits him! I wish my hair could be half as vibrant when I dye it- Ha!
🙂
Photos as beautiful as this helps me forget how frustrated I am with the “new” WordPress editor…
😦 Glad to help even a little bit. What’s the problem/are the problems?
The biggest problem is me! I don’t like change… 😉
I get that.
It’s looking very regal there, and the reflection is lovely!
They really can look regal, can’t they, although probably not to the fish they’re hunting. Maybe more like robber barons. 🙂
True! 😀
I enjoyed this peaceful photo and lovely purple reflection of the GB heron, Janet.
I’m glad, Jet. Thanks.
Lovely photo, i should schedule more. So w would have post ready for not so good days or like now too good to sit by the computer. We are having a three day summer spree with sun and lovely weather so I am sitting outside enjoying it. Love your purple shots
That’s what I like about it, Ritva. I can schedule when I have time and then not worry about it. Of course sometimes I ended up changing things if something new comes up, but that’s OK. Enjoy your lovely outdoor time!!
Thanks I did, now home trying to catch up 🙂
Hi
I love the heron photo so much – it is the kind of photo I could stare at on a wall for a long time (like if it was framed or on a canvas)
So much beauty with the hue – the sparkle – the centering – the posture of the bird – etc
–
And side note – I plan to use the schedule feature more this year and I am curious about this feature you have mentioned – sounds helpful
I’m happy you love the photo, Yvette. As for the scheduling feature, it’s really useful. Once you’re ready to schedule and hit “Immediate”, a calendar and time pops up. When you move your cursor to the numbers of the days, any days that have a post scheduled will show a small dot beneath them. Then it’s simple not to double-schedule. Finally! It’s been so long since they had that sort of feature. Let me know if you have questions.
Thanks for the mini tutorial and I will give it a try – keep you posted (a bit of a pun there) hah
Great photo Janet!
Thanks, Aletta. He stood there so nicely.
Waiting for the photo to be taken 👌
Great capture, Janet!
Nice of him to pose, wasn’t it? 🙂
YES!
