This house in Redondo Beach really caught my eye, both for its gardens and its doors. This one’s beautiful on a very human scale. I’d live here. Nothing more to say. Just enjoy.

    Magnificent

You’re right, the gardens are beautiful, and they add so much to the appeal of this house. What a great find.

do you by chance know what that plant is in the front of the house, (left ) top pic, it seems to have flowers just on one side.? of is it the way I’m seeing it… great find.

    • I think that’s a bougainvillea and a big one. We have two in our backyard and they’re lovely but they have a lot of thorns, which I found out the hard way when first trimming. 🙂

    Lovely find

  7. They had a well landscaping plan, and a very pretty house

  8. Definitely looks livable to me, Janet. Beautiful house and doors. Hope you’ve been doing well and enjoying your travels!

    • Glad you enjoyed the house, Madison. We’re both doing well and I’m getting ready to drive back to Illinois next week to visit friends. I’m looking forward to it!

  9. Resa says:

Lovely home, with some sweet doors!

    • And it’s only a few blocks from the beach! 🙂

        It must be nice!
Actually, I live a couple of blocks from the beach on Lake Ontario.
It’s nothing like the ocean, though. And my home is nothing like that home. I live in a 100 year old apartment.
Also, I haven’t been there since the virus. It’s standing room only. There’s nowhere else for people to go. No art shows, no sports venues, no concerts, no Caribana, no Ex, no nothing!

      • No, the Great Lakes only look like an ocean. 🙂 I’m not big on the crowds even without Covid.

  10. Beautiful gardens and a lovely house. I’d live there too!

  11. You are right, it does look very liveable. 🙂 Splendid!

    • Thanks, Manja. Glad you liked it. Unfortunately, because it’s in California and only a few blocks from the beach, it likely costs the earth!

    Someone has a green thumb!

  13. I love the tiled frame around the big entry doors 🙂

  14. I like that tree with flowers on one half
