Back on the road again, Chicago area to Oklahoma City somewhere between 12 and 13 hours, but it will make for two easy days after that. Since purple is still the color of the (last) month at Life in Colour, here’s one of the few purple wild irises I saw during my foray on the park.

I’m sorry if I missed you yesterday (very busy last day) and today will be a long one as well I’ll be back as soon as possible.

For Life in Colour: purple and FOTD

    What a gorgeous iris!

  2. Heyjude says:

I have been photographing irises all week, may is definitely their month and there are some gorgeous shades. Thank you for the purples this month Janet. Safe travels and I hope there is no horrid rain on the way home!

    • The first twelve hours are done and I’m relaxing at the motel. The next two days will only be about eight hours each day and because I’m going west, I gain one hour each day, which is always great. Some drizzle today but thankfully I missed the heavy rain yesterday. Thanks for hostessing the challenge.

  3. Gorgeous, Janet. Purple’s always my colour of the month. 😉 Wish you could swing by KC in your travels.

    • I wish I could get by that way, too, Rochelle. Maybe one of these driving days. Love to you both. Tell Jan I got really good sausage, although not venison, and dark beer while I was there. 😉

  4. Safe drive, Janet … and thanks for the touch of beauty.

  5. Dan Antion says:

    That’s lovely.

  6. de Wets Wild says:

What a beauty! Safe travels, Janet!

  7. Cee Neuner says:

Gorgeous detail on that iris. Beautifully captured 😀

  8. scr4pl80 says:

So pretty! I’ll have to remember this color combination the next time I color flowers.

  9. Safe journey home, Janet!! 🥰
