I know what that’s like and it’s not good. Two summers ago, our last in Illinois, our AC went out and we weren’t able to get a new one for a week, a week of 90+ temperatures and humidity. As the bedrooms were upstairs, I had my husband sleep in the living room as he can’t sleep well in heat. It was pretty miserable! Hope the heat breaks sooner than they predict for you!!
I think of the same saying when I see a red sky in the morning. This is so pretty. Let’s follow the curve of the duct and see what’s around that corner, shall we? 😂
We have the same saying in German: „Morgenrot bringt Schiff in Not“ (red sky in the morning – ship in distress) or „Morgenrot bringt Seemannstod“ (red sky in the morning brings death to sailors). Nevertheless – it’s a beautiful photo with the orange reflection in the canal.
Along the canal it’s difficult to get a shot without power lines, at least one that has vistas in it. But without power we’d have no AC, so I trying not to complain. 🙂
beautiful colours
Always nice to see when walking or even just looking out the window. 🙂
janet
Wonderful as I love the colors of a sunrise sky with just enough clouds to emphasize the glory.
The clouds really add to it, don’t they?
We’re starting a week of hot, humid weather, but who am I to complain to you about heat. 🙂
But the humidity you have, Judy, is so hard to take when accompanied by high temperatures!
We have had humidity that is like a wall when you open the door to step outside. We are actually under a weather advisory for the next three days. 🥵

Oh my – Janet, this is so pretty!
It was and it’s always nice when the sun stays behinds the clouds, as it’s cooler. The colors were a bonus. 🙂

Around the curve of the canal is…more canal. 🙂

Sounds much worse in German. 🙂 But it didn’t turn out to be a bad day here and of course there aren’t many places to sail in this area!
Beautiful sky and reflections! Here the telephone poles are not in the way:):) Have a lovely weekend Janet! Jeshie2

I didn’t take it as a complaint. It’s just that after 35+ years I am still not used to power lines (in Europe they’re all under ground):)
Beautiful photo. Must be a sunrise.
It was or I would have had to say it was a delight for sailors. 🙂
Stunning!!!!!
Since I wasn’t planning to sail on the canal, I didn’t worry and just enjoyed the colors. 🙂
Cool!
So beautiful! Love the colours
It was quite spectacular, Aletta.
I can imagine that
