During my recent trip back to Illinois, I naturally had to take another photo of one of my favorite spots in the park, which works well for showing how trees can lead the eye while creating a beautiful frame for a photo. In this photo, there aren’t a deer and a rabbit, but there are two birds. 🙂

If you’re in Chicago and want to get around without braving the traffic or spending a week’s wages on parking, you can rent one of these blue bicycles, my first entry for this month’s Life in Colour color. And speaking of cycling, anyone else watching the Tour de France? What a first week it’s been!

I can see why the park view is a favourite, that avenue just makes you want to walk there. And thank you for your first blue! I wouldn’t feel safe on a bike in a city, but then it has been a lot of years since I last rode a bike!

Two great pictures for the challenge – and both green, in their own way.

Adore the trees frame! I see the birds!
I’m not a big fan of bicycles. I’ve been hit twice by speeding bicycles, on the sidewalk.
Adult men both times.I called them cowards to their faces. They want the privilege of riding on sidewalks because they are too afraid to ride in traffic. We have bike lanes!
Anyway, hit hard in the same spot on my back. No broken bones, but my back is a mess. PAIN!!!!

    • I can understand why you’d feel that way. Cyclists should always announce that they’re passing you and on which side but many don’t which is both rude and dangerous.

What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, that or the other thing.
