Won’t be long now until we’re in these mountains and I won’t feel at all blue. However, these blues I can love.

What wonderful blues. I’d love to see them every morning when I look out of the window
Indeed! 🙂
“What are those blue remembered hills, What spires, what farms are those?…”
Or in this instance, mountains.
🙂 I love that your the second English person to quote this to me in the last week (Sarah was the other) and I know that first line as it’s the title of Rosemary Sutcliff(e)’s memoirs.
Good old Housman!
Ah, I love blue mountainscapes!
I love almost any mountainscape, but this one is rather pretty.

Not a bad blue at all!
And the view is excellent no matter the colors. 🙂
Janet, that is a stunning photo and soul soothing words. Great way to start the day so thank you!
As always, my pleasure. ❤
Your happy place 😊
Indeed. Not long now until we see it again. 🙂
I love the layers you captured, and the tree to bring it to life. Enjoy your trip north today.
Thanks! We’re going to go a slightly different way up to avoid any flooding. Lots of lovely rain this morning again and no wind1
Looks as though mornings may still be nippy!
They can be there. I don’t recall if they were that day.
oh this is stunning, and loving all the poetry that is being shared in the comments too
It’s a view for all seasons as far as I’m concerned but this was a lovely time.
Those are some blues I can get on board with too!
🙂
What a beautiful blue image. Love the quote!
Thanks very much, Amy. I love that view (and others there) in pretty much any light and at any time. 🙂 Quotes are easy to find with the internet, which is great.
Love the view, soon 🔜 you will be there

Yes, only once a year and this year for the two weeks my husband can take off. When he retires, we can spend half the summer there, which will be lovely. It’s a two-day trip for us.
The holidays you have in US are so short, in Finland after on year of working for the same company you get 4 weeks of paid summer holiday, after two years you also get one week in the winter…

Hello! I’m visiting from Becky’s gallery of tree squares. These colours are gorgeous.
Thanks very much: for liking the photo, for the visit, and for the comment. All are appreciated. 🙂

Very neat, Janet. What makes the bg so dusty blue?
Just the time of day, I think. It was evening. Perhaps there was smoke from a distant forest fire that year, but I think it was just dusk.
