It makes life much more interesting when power boxes become works of art. In this case, I’m also happy that some of them are blue.

Excellent job of hitting both challenges, Janet.

  4. I like the one with the sailboat a lot. Great idea for both the doors and blue.

    • I was happy to find I still had some blue doors that I hadn’t already used in the years I’ve been doing this challenge, although I could probably start reusing some and no one would remember. πŸ™‚

  5. Your title describes the doors perfectly! πŸ™‚

  6. I love seeing these! It’s so whimsical, cheerful, and brilliant to dress up these utilitarian eyesores and turn them into art.

Nice when the electrical boxes are painted. We have a few around here too. Who says functional has to be ugly?

As a person who loves a plain red door, I find these fussy blue doors a bit much. But your photos of them are wonderful, of course.

    Amazing!

    • It’s nice to see the decoration rather than just the grey box, that’s for sure. Thanks for stopping by, Gwen. I hope all’s well with you and yours.

Love the street art! I agree, it’s wonderful that more and more cities are using art to get rid of the steel and cement feel. Nice finds!
