I was sitting on the porch of the cabin and saw this guy go by. Fortunately I had my camera next to me (never know what you might see there) and managed to get a couple shots before it flitted away. I didn’t notice the missing bit of wing until I started looking for photos for today’s challenge. 🙂
I’m definitely missing them this year. Despite having many perennials, I have seen very few to the point of being a real concern. Beautiful shot by the way. 🙂
Thanks, Judy. What’s missing is part of the butterfly’s wing, but I’m sorry you’re missing butterflies overall this year. We saw quite a few in Wyoming, although only one like this.
Nature at work. Well, I wear torn clothes, too.
It’s okay if I’m not going anywhere. Also, it cuts back on pollution.
Clothing waste is a massive problem.
I wear clothes for years and buy most of mine at thrift/consignment stores. You might be interested to know that our younger daughter is doing some clothes now, although nothing like yours, along with her art products. She’s updated her website: meganwebb.bigcartel.com. 🙂
It took me a while to see what you meant! 🙂
A beauty nonetheless

beautiful still! great capture, Janet!
I agree. 🙂
Awww. Nice job on the prompt.
Thanks, Dan. Enjoy your quiet weekend.
Amazing the damage that butterflies can sustain to their wings and still be perfectly capable of flying.
This one is so beautiful the knick goes almost unnoticed.
True. This one could certainly swoop everywhere as if nothing were missing.
Sadly, I had to be told what was missing, Janet. My eye filled it in just fine. I’m sure the butterfly noticed. 🙂
So maybe the titles is doubly true—for the butterfly and for readers. 😁.
Amen to that – especially for this reader! 🙂 Double whammy.
The eye does tend to fill in missing bits so it’s not unusual. 😉
That’s good. I was just about to run to the doctor about it and tell him “I’m missing something.” 🙂 Love your post and your title!
Ha! Glad to save you the doctor’s bill, Marsha. 😎
LOL! You are so funny, Janet. 🙂
A bit battered and torn but, gorgeous anyway!
I agree. “Broken and beautiful.” Thanks, Sesame Street.
Still beautiful, Janet! Lovely colors.
The imperfection that makes us appreciate the beauty even more.
Awwww, poor little fellow! So sweet ❣❣❣
Quite good-looking despite missing that bit. 🙂
