What a find! I’m always leery of mushroom foraging, since I have the kind of luck that would ensure anything I pick is 100% poisonous. Of course, I also have the kind of optimism that would lead me to trying it anyway…
I only forage for mushrooms when in France with my sister-in-law who knows which are edible. There you can also take your mushrooms to a pharmacy to find out but it’s easier since she knows. I wouldn’t forage here as I don’t know enough.
Edible?
Nope.
And golden it is!

I like these Janet. Really got a golden colour!
Thanks, Aletta. π
We have had so much rain this year, that there are mushrooms in and on everything.
We have some weird fungi that pop up here even when there really isn’t much rain. I looked them up once but forgot what they’re called.
Thanks for the golden image to start my day. Hi Janet.
My pleasure, Frank. Good to hear from you. Are you back to blogging or just starting with visits and did you enjoy your break?
Perfect fall color!
π Too bad they weren’t edible!

That’s a great color.
π It grows on you. Or maybe on the tree.
Good think they’re not edible, for they look perfect where they are!

What lovely shrooms! Good eye, Janet! π
Thanks, Lisa. π
