I’ll be on the road again today, covering the miles between Phoenix and southern California, although with gas prices the way they are, it will be a much more expensive trip than the last one! I have to steel myself for the cost of that one tank of gas necessary to get before coming back home next Monday. Sigh.
At any rate, I have some unused orange squares so I thought I’d squander them today to get you through the week without me, even though yesterday ended the square challenge. 🙂 Wasn’t that thoughtful? Becky, I did sneak in one non-square, so just ignore that one and go with the rest.
Keep well, all of you, while I’m gone.

Lovely oranges!
I’m happy you liked them, Sue.
I did
Nice pictures beautiful orange colours. Had to smile reading your comment on petrol prices. I believe the average for Southern California is around $1.26 per Litre, the equivalent here in the UK is around $1.96 😦
Yes, I know it could be worse (and will be in California.)
I like your orange. 🙂
Thanks, Judy, and have a wonderful week.
Your roll with orange continues … and that’s a good thing!
For some reason your comments only show up if I go into the part with all the things like comments, widgets, pages, etc., not in the pulldown part on the top right of the blog. Weird, but I keep looking. 🙂
Wow. Wonderful photos.
Thanks so much, Judy. 🥰
Safe travels. Lovely pictures.
Made it here with no more than the usual traffic woes in the LA area. That’s a good thing!
Pretty photos. Safe and happy travels.
Thanks and thanks. I made it safely. Looking forward to just relaxing a bit.
oh these are just fabulous, that one rectangle is definitely forgiven.
Thanks, Becky. I’m happy you liked them and didn’t mind me slipping in the rectangle. That shot just needed a rectangle.
Of course I don’t mind, specially when as you say it really needs to be a rectangle!
I love that tomato, and those orange flowers. Safe journey!!
Thanks, Deborah. Made it safely and enjoying just relaxing.
That’s what I want to hear! Have a great time!!
Beautiful shots!
Thanks very much, JT.
A very beautiful selections!
Thanks very much, Amy.
Safe travels Janet!
And fingers crossed gas prices come down a bit –
And the photos flowed so well
For the plethora of orange and the opening photo is my fav today
That’s one of my favorites from back in Illinois. Gas prices are high here but not as bad as I was afraid they might be. I made it safely which is always a blessing, especially given the traffic. 😉
Oh so glad you made it safely –
And a few years ago we were in the market for a new vehicle and our friends had a 2015 Honda Pilot that was sitting for more than a year (the guy had health issues) and we could have had for a very low cost but had to pass on it because Janet- it was a gas guzzler and we were not in the mood for that! No way – not just price of fuel during the high times / it was also just silly to use such a large boat boat of a vehicle for tjlhe local driving we were doing. But man it was also so solid and tempting – and the kind of vehicle that makes road trips even better
–
Anyhow – glad gas
Prices were not too bad and have a good week
Lovely colours! Have a safe and happy trip, Janet!
Thanks, Jo. ❤️
Lovely photos Janet! Have a safe trip!
Thanks!
Hope you’ve had a nice trip. Love the brilliant orange to light up the feed one more time. I loved the leaf caught up in the ice. Kind of symbolic. Is it hanging on…or letting go? donna
I’m in California right now, Lisa, hanging out with our daughter and son-in-law. Good times. The leaf was doing whatever it is leaves do in winter and posing beautifully while doing it. 😳😁. Wasn’t that profound? 😂😂😂
Enjoy your trip, Janet! Safe travels!
Thanks, Dries. So far, so good. 😉
Such a wonderfully cheerful color! It’s the perfect thing to tide us over while you’re out and about. Safe travels!
Thanks, Hannah. Having a good time in foggy SoCal. 😉
Lovely images, Janet. You have a great eye. 🌞
Thanks so much, Lisa. ❤
