The last time I was in France, we came across a plethora of these beauties, but despite their colorful beauty, they’re deadly as seems to often be the case in the plant and animal world.

Life in Colour: kaleidoscope

  1. Sheree says:

That’s a great example but, as you said, deadly

  2. we had fields of this guys in our forests this year… no idea why… but they are an eyecatcher, no doubt ;O)

  3. Deadly but certainly make a magnificent photo especially this time of year.

  4. A wonderful capture with an important meeting. You’ve reminded me of the colorful little frogs in Central America.

  5. Heyjude says:

And so difficult to photograph I find.

  6. These are my favorite mushrooms even though I’ve only ever seen it in photos! They just look so neat much better than the white ones we get in the lawn anyway. 😀

  7. JT Twissel says:

    It does look deadly!

  8. Dan Antion says:

    Very pretty, but….

  9. That color alone is unreal! It looks like a cartoon of a mushroom. At least it makes its potency obvious.

  10. de Wets Wild says:

Just like a Bond-girl. Beautiful but deadly.

  11. susurrus says:

I’m always so excited to see one of these.

What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, that or the other thing.
