It’s beautiful! Years ago at our old house I planted one and trained it to grow up and around the patio cover, but He-Man hated it because of the thorns. He ripped it out. 😂 Now I just admire it from afar…those who have it that are more tolerant of its thorns
I remember reading a novel when I was in high school that talked about bougainvillea. Living in the midwest I’d never heard of them. Years later when we visited California I finally saw them in person, and was amazed by the color. In other words, what I’m trying to say here is that I like your photo.
Such an intense colour – gorgeous
They’re quite beautiful and there are many of them around here but they have rather big thorns so you really have to be careful when you trim them.
I didn’t realize they had thorns
Rather large ones. I didn’t realize it either until I started trimming ours one day and it became obvious to me quite quickly! Lol.
Ouch!
Pretty!
Thanks!

You’re having fun with this bright month. This is a gorgeous colour.
It’s hard not to enjoy color. This one is at my parents’ house. Our house has a dark red one and an orange one, both of which are beautiful.
Lovely.
We are blessed with having many in this area. And at this time of year, they all look amazing.
Yes, beautiful except for those spiky thorns 😊
Exactly!

Beautiful color for your area. Sure beats the drabness of my region.
Lots of color here in winter. But then it’s also lots warmer. 🙂
There is nothing quite like bougainvillea pink. Stunning.
They are beautiful.
