  4. It’s beautiful! Years ago at our old house I planted one and trained it to grow up and around the patio cover, but He-Man hated it because of the thorns. He ripped it out. 😂 Now I just admire it from afar…those who have it that are more tolerant of its thorns

    I remember reading a novel when I was in high school that talked about bougainvillea. Living in the midwest I’d never heard of them. Years later when we visited California I finally saw them in person, and was amazed by the color. In other words, what I’m trying to say here is that I like your photo.
