When we lived in Illinois, there was a butterfly bush right outside our large living room window. I enjoyed seeing butterflies, hummingbird moths, bees, and other critters up close and personal and of course, taking photos through the window. 🙂

Wonderful. You captured the moment well! I was entranced by the markings on the wings/

I have a butterfly bush the same color that is pictured here. The photo you posted is beautiful.

  5. What a beautiful sighting! I’d miss that bush. I miss my old Lantana bush for the same reason.

    • We have lantana here as well. I miss the lilac bushes that we had in both Ohio and Illinois, too. They didn’t attract as many insects (at least that I could see) but their scent was wonderful.

That was taken through a window! Amazing!
    Also, clean windows! 😀

    • The amazing part is that I didn’t wash that window. I guess frequent rains must have kept it reasonably clean and the Nikon took care of looking past any smudges. 🙂
