It’s a strange new blogging world. The monthly challenge Life in Colour has ended, no Squares until February, and I’m too lazy to put together a Monday walk, leaving me free and challenge-less. What to do?
Although it tried to hide by going sideways, I spotted this ghost in our garage the other day with the door open and the sun shining in. Seemed like the perfect thing to share on the first Monday morning of 2022. After all, how often do you see a ghost during the day?
My husband actually has today off (a miracle of major proportions) and our plan is to visit the Desert Botanical Garden to enjoy the Chihuly installation if I can get a reservation. That will generate a spate of photos! In the meantime, happy Monday!

What a fun shot! Happy Monday, Janet!
Thanks, Jo, and happy Monday to you. I’ll be checking out your walk later.
we hope it is a good and funny ghost like casper ;O)
It seems to be but I think it’s taken up residence somewhere else in the garage because I haven’t seen it since.
Ooh, I love your garage ghost! π
Seems to be friendly, Ruth, so that’s good. π
Do you remember/have you heard of the Happy Mondays – a fine Mancunian band π Thanks for the reminder.
I have not but I’m glad to remind you of them even inadvertently. π
I like your garage ghost Janet!
I do too although it seems to have hidden away and I haven’t seen it since. π¦

A friendly looking ghost that one, Janet. Happy Monday!
Definitely friendly, Tom. Happy Monday and 2022 to you as well.
Cute – great capture of this ghost.
The shadows were really amazing although all the stuff in the garage detracts a bit from the overall effect so I cropped this one a bit. π
π Dear Janet,
what a great snapshot! I like your ghost π
Citysonnet https://citysonnet.wordpress.com/author/citysonnet/
has a challenge of colors and letters, which offers various aspects of photography.
Cee https://ceenphotography.com/. offers many challenges, too.
I’m sure you’ll find something to blog about.
Now I’m curious see the exhibition you’re planning to visit.
Have a very HAPPY Monday!

Happy Monday, Claudia. I know about Cee’s list of challenges and thanks for letting me know about Citysonnet’s. It’s also fun to just post whatever I feel like so I’ll probably do a bit of both. New challenges/themes can be lots of fun and good ways to meet new people.
Here’s what some of the exhibition looks like, although some of these shots are in a second location: https://www.chihulyinthedesert.org/. I was amazed by his installation here in 2014 (I think) so I’m excited about this one. I’m sure you’ll see some of it on the blog. π
At least it doesn’t look like a scary ghost. I hope you can score tickets to the garden and have a lovely day no matter what you do together!
Got the tickets and will be going this afternoon when it will be a rather nice temperature. His installations are also amazing at night so I may have to go back again to see them illuminated.
π Yeah!
The ghost looks pretty friendly. Just make sure you donβt leave your key/fob in the car. I hope you make it to the gardens.
I never leave my key in the van! We have tickets from the gardens for early afternoon and I’m looking forward to it immensely. π
Very good capture!
Thanks, other Janet. π
I love it when these sorts of ghosts pop up! So fun capturing them. Happy Monday!
Then I’m glad I could capture this one and share it with you, JT. Hope your Monday was a good as mine!
Here’s to a better 2022~
I agree, Jennifer! Although I have to admit that for us 2021 wasn’t all that bad.
janet
Challenge or no, your creativity is boundless!
Many thanks, Hannah. π
What a great capture! Hope you do get to go see the exhibit.
We did go, Madison, so I have a LOT of photos! Iβm going to go back sometime after dark when everything is illuminated. .
I’d say finding a ghost in one’s garage, especially one bold enough to venture out in daylight, would put quite a damper on my hopes for the new year…

That is a ghost! Eeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!
And a pretty scary one! π
